• Incredible experience with the Bedouin of St Catherine

  Truly one of the best trips of my life. Ahmed and the rest of our Bedouin hosts were the most welcoming people and the experience of spending time off-grid in the mountains around St Catherine was unforgettable. It’s an incredibly beautiful hiking area and Ahmed uses trails where you’re unlikely to see other people - we had the mountains pretty much to ourselves the whole time. Camping in the Bedouin gardens was a particular highlight, as was sitting around the campfire each night learning about the Bedouin way of life and the jebeleya tribe’s connection to the mountains. By the end of our 3-4 days in the mountains, I’d never felt so relaxed. I also really appreciated this tour company’s ‘leave no trace’ sustainability principles. Logistics were very smooth and all trip organisation was handled very professionally.

  I returned a few days ago from a wonderful 3-day trek with my children Andrea and Tancredi (aged 7 and 11). Hamed, Hussain and the boys who carried our equipment on dromedaries are wonderful people. Hamed is an exceptional guide who knows the Sinai mountains like the back of his hand. His stories reveal his deep love for these mountains. I am a great lover of plants and I loved his explanations about the plants we found along the way. Reaching the summit of Mount Saint Catherine on a 3-day trek is the most beautiful experience you can have in the Sinai Mountains, both for the wonderful landscapes you will see and because you will most likely not meet anyone else, as happened to us! We were completely alone and disconnected from the world! Just nature and beautiful human relationships. It is a fairly challenging trek, not for everyone. You need to be fit and used to walking many kilometres on various types of trails. For us, it was very enjoyable because we live in the mountains and love walking.   Thank you, Ahmed, for 7 unforgettable days in Sinai! You and your team made the journey truly special. Everything was well organized, and the nature around us was absolutely stunning. We really appreciated your knowledge and the way you shared stories about the local culture, history, and nature. It was both interesting and inspiring. Your English is very good, which made communication easy and enjoyable. We were two friends traveling together, and you adapted the trip perfectly to our pace and wishes.   I had the absolute privilege of joining the 3-day hiking and camping trip in the Sinai Mountains, guided by the incredible Ahmed Mousa from the Jebaliya tribe. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and beyond expectations. Ahmed is not just a guide – he is a walking encyclopedia of Sinai’s mountains, valleys, plants, and Bedouin traditions. His deep knowledge, combined with his warm generosity and care for every single detail, made the experience truly unforgettable. The logistics were seamless: camels carrying our gear, delicious Bedouin meals cooked over fire, and comfortable campsites under a million stars. Highlights included reaching the summit of Mount Abbas Basha, the breathtaking panoramic views from Mount Na’ga, meeting locals like Um Saad and Dr. Ahmed Mansour, and the cultural visits to St. Catherine Monastery and traditional Bedouin handicrafts. Each day felt like a beautiful blend of nature, culture, and history. What impressed me most was Ahmed’s balance between professionalism and hospitality – he always ensured our safety, adjusted the pace to suit everyone, and still managed to share fascinating stories that made the trails come alive.   First of all, the trip itself was absolutely incredible. The scenery is just magical, and the mountains have this amazing way of touching your spirit. It was truly a transformative experience. And as for Ahmed Moussa and his team, they were simply outstanding. They really knew what they were doing and took great care of all of us, making the whole hike feel safe and enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend anyone considering a trip like this to go with Ahmed.   Genuinely a renovating experience. Very attentive and accommodative guides who were always focused and ready for anything. Awesome trip for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Saint Catherine's mountains at their own pace, not once have I felt rushed or that I'm on a tight-scheduled touristic holiday. I went on my own, but returned feeling more connected with myself, the group, and the place more than ever. I also definitely felt safer that the whole experience was led by Bediouns who know their city better than anyone. For a 3-day hike you wouldn't expect much in regards to the food & stays, but they have definitely surpassed these expectations by their delicious and nourishing meals throughout the day in addition to the comfortable stays (as good as it can get in a desert though).   I came back feeling refreshed, full of new ideas, and like a different person. Everything was so well-organized from the start. The itinerary was clear, and Ahmed Mousa was always checking in, making sure we were okay and comfortable. What made it special is that it’s fully Bedouin-owned, so everything felt real and connected to their story and lifestyle. My favorite part was visiting Ahmed’s father’s home in his village, surrounded by the mountains. It was truly so beautiful to see how his family once lived there and how there was life and human stories among the mountains. So so many stories were shared in the campfire, and it felt like we were discovering hidden worlds, almost like you are in the cinema and watching a movie, but instead you are listening to it.

  We had a really great time with Ahmed. The hike was great and an amazing experience to do this together with a very professional and fun guide. Felt very spoiled with all the nice food and good care during the tirip.
