Nyerere National Park – formally known as Selous Game Reserve
A newly established Park is part of what is known as Selous Game Reserve. Founded in 2019 and covering over 30,000 square kilometres, now the largest National Park in Africa. The park boasts Tanzania's largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks and zebras.
The park has the most extensive range of safari activities, from Romantic Boat Safari along the Great Rufiji River, legendary fly camping trips, walking, and classic game driving in thriving wildlife areas.

Pick up from Airport or Hotel in Dar es Salaam, and drive south of Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve; the drive shall take 5 hours. Relax and immerse in your new surroundings before enjoying a delicious, fresh lunch in a beautiful shady spot your camp offers. There is time to relax for a couple of hours after lunch before departing on an afternoon boat safari.

After early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas. The park boasts Tanzania's largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks and zebras. Before the end of the day, you will return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Guided bush walks are entirely different here, sightseeing the miombo woodland environment with your guide. The walking safari is an exciting opportunity to get close to the animals and the best way to learn the intricacies of the African bush. Walking along the firmed trail through the African bushes is entirely different from game drives; being on foot brings about a new way of appreciating the natural environment. After breakfast, pack your bags and say farewell as you depart to Dar es Salaam to drop off at your hotel or airport.

5.00AMAZING!!! with a great guide Musa. 2 days on safari been great experience. He went to great lengths for us. The water safari was also great as was the walking safari. Definitely books. And definitely ask for Musa

5.002 Day Hola Africa Selous Safari led by guide Musha was a remarkable lifetime experience. During the course of 2 days viewed all the Big 5 in Selous Reserve plus everything else thanks to Musha's knowledge and experience of the Reserve habitat and determination to assure maximum sighting opportunities. The safari was meticulously organized from the moment our flight landed in Selous to our departure to Zanzibar base. Every aspect of our Safari experience (flights, lodging, field lunches, Bush Walk and River Cruise were professionally organized to optimize the entire stay and experience. 5.00Great Safari with this company and a big thank you to our Guide Moussa who was super awesome with us. He explained us all about the park and he managed to show us all the animals. Very helpful and attentive really thank you. And thanks to Karine who accompanied her for her studies. I highly recommend if you want to spend an unforgettable Safari.

5.00Just returned from a fantastic 3 day safari, seeing amazing animals. Our experience was great thanks to our tour guide Hamza and driver Awamu. They were courteous, kind and full of information. They met us at the plane and were there to answer all questions accompanying us all the way right until we departed on day 3! They went the extra mile to find and share with us as much as possible whilst keeping us and the animals safe! Outstanding members of your team we were lucky to meet them. Many thanks Amanda & Pete

5.00Amazing 3 days safari, very well organized ! Our guide Hamza and driver Ali were very kind and gentle. They gave us so much explaination and showed us a lot of ways and places in the national Park of Nyerere (previously Selous). They were very carina with us and took the time for some breaks and let us time to take pictures and enjoying views of animals and landscapes. We highly recommend Hamza and Ali as they were very concerned in the wellbeing of the wildlife as well. They didn't run after animals at any price, they respected comfort zones of animals, and we were able to see a lot of giraffes, elephants, impalas, buffalos, birds, baboons as well as lions, warthogs, kudus, crocodiles and hippos, eagles ... and other smaller animals (mangooses, squirrels, ...) We stopped for lunch and Coffee breaks in amazing places. Everything went perfect Thanks to them. Ali was a super driver, very safe and caring (he prevents us from acacia spines and other branches while driving and drove slow when needed) and Hamza was a super guide that knows very well the park very talkative and in love with nature. There is a very diversified wildlife, that needs to be seen and preserved. 5/5, ideal for couples, friends groups and families.

5.00Excellent safari with amazing views. Real wildlife experience. Convenient accomodation. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. The guides were friendly and knew many interesting facts about the animals. Highly recommend.
