The Bund (Wai Tan)

Pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Shanghai at 9:00A.M. Then you wil go to visit The Bund. It's the most popular attraction in Shanghai. The Bund is a waterfront area and a protected historical district in central Shanghai. The Bund usually refers to the buildings and wharves on a section of Zhongshan East No.1 road. The promenade allows a close-up view of the beautiful old colonial buildings in the former Shanghai International Settlement. One side of the Huangpu River is high tech futuristic high-risers; on the other side is the 19th century colonial decadent architecture. Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu)

It's the alernative choice place for getting a panoramic view of Shanghai from the top of a tall building. You could choose to do either Shanghai Tower or this one. This tower is an iconic landmark and it's one of the most pupular attractions in Shanghai. The best picture of Oriental Pearl Tower that you can get is when you see it and take the picture on the Bund. You probably already got the picture of Oriental Pearl Tower when you were at the Bund earlier today.

Shanghai World Financial Center

This place is very close to Shanghai Tower, and it's not far from the Oriental Pearl Tower as well. Actally, you are not just passing by it. If you choose to visit Shanghai Tower, you will walk in front of this tall building and take a great close-up picture of it.

It's a good-looking shopping area with a huge number of restaurants, cafes and shops at street level and higher levels. Lots of big name branded stores and some local outlets or brands as well. There is a shop that sells Bee Cheng Hiang - the famous Singaporean beef and pork jerky. Another big attraction is the m&m store - one of only five in the world (others are in Vegas, Orlando, New York and London). Definitely an experience. The 600 square meters LEGO flagship store was officially opened on Nanjing Road as well.

Shanghai Natural History Museum (Jing'an)

Huge museum with wide ranges of collection! There are a lot of exhibits for each kind. There are many dinosaurs in skeleton and animatronic form, many taxidermied animals of the past, a good collection of minerals and rocks, and ecology of shanghai.

Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall

It tells how Shanghai a fishing village became a city of 30 million and an international financial and trade capital. How it was planned, constructed and how it was developed. Its importance in terms of minerals, business, etc. It has a huge model of the city.

Former French Concession

You could see the old interesting architecture, which is remnants from the French concession period. Streets and alleys resemble the south of France and there is an overall relaxed attitude. A lot of bars and cafes.

Fuxing Park

Longhua Temple

Longhua Temple is a spiritual sacred historical place. It's the oldest and largest temple in Shanghai. Although the temple reconstruced, it still preserves the architectural design of a Song dynasty (960–1279) monastery of the Chan School.

Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre

The Propaganda Poster Museum is a small museum tucked away inside a building without much obvious signage. It's a very special fascinating place. It conserved chinese history very well.
