• Wonderful introduction to Tallinn and Estonia

  We visited Tallinn on a day trip (via ferry) from Helsinki in February. Tallinn itself is a delightful old city. But the highlight of our tour was what we learned from our guide, Maive, about the history of Estonia, its people and its culture. I will not share details here, as that is a story best told by an Estonian while in Estonia. I will instead give five stars to Maive for her warm, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guidance, and to both Maive and the tour operator for addressing quickly and warmly a glitch in our meeting up point and time. We are grateful to them for giving us such an incredible first impression of Tallinn and Estonia. We are already looking ahead to when we might return…in some time other than midwinter.

  We had a great tour. Our guide Maive is well versed and was able to explain the history of Estonia and the historical background around Tallinn. We first drove her car to various places outside the old town. For example to Tallinn Song Festival Grounds Tallinna Lauluväljak. We were also at the presidential palace, Katharinental Castle and Spirits beach, because of the bad weather, but we didn't walk much there. Afterwards we walked through the old town. Maive is very friendly and we had a good and interesting time on this tour, although the weather was very unfriendly! Highly recommended.

• Fantastic Private Historical Tour of Tallinn

  We started in a car so were able to see some of the sites outside of the old town for the first hour. The next two hours were spent walking around the old town. We received a detailed historical tour that included many stories and legends. Our guide was energetic which captivated our attention. At the end, she recommended a restaurant with local cuisine that we enjoyed. We have found that private tours are the way to go especially when one has limited time to explore. I highly recommend!

  This tour was the highlight of our time in Estonia! Our guide, Mavie, was friendly and full of fascinating insights, taking us through Tallinn’s medieval, modern and former Soviet sites with ease. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the city!

  Marco was a fabulous guide. He is very informative and knowledgeable about all aspects of the city and speaks English very well! Marco was not in a hurry to finish and made is feel welcome and comfortable in the city. The first hour was a driving tour including the memorial to the 30,000 who lost their lives to the Soviets. The remaining 2 hours were a leisurely walking tour of the city highlights. Marco was flexible for us to stop for photos or anything else. Overall, the tour was above expectations!
