Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. Canyon de Chelly National Monument
Our guided 4x4 tours into Canyon De Chelly National Monument will be lead by experienced and seasoned guides. On your trip, you will visit many archeological sites that include cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo, rock art panels (both pictograph and petroglyphs) from all past and present inhabitants of Canyon De Chelly, and other historical sites. There will also be many stops for photographic opportunities, restroom stop, and a chance to purchase artwork from local Native artists. Possible stops include visiting a working farm and/or weaving demonstration, only if resident is at their canyon home.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Jarvin Yazzie, our guide and driver. Just the three of us! He was so personable and knowledgeable. And having grown up in the Canyon and still having his roots there, we were given great insights into what it is and was like to live there through the years. We met his mom and dad way down in the canyon and his brother-in-law. The scenery was magnificent and the historical sites and information fascinating! Three hours was not enough, although it was all the time we had this visit. We will have to come back.

You can drive the North and South rims of the canyon and see the grand views of the natural beauty of Canyon de Chelly but booking a jeep tour into the canyon gets you up close and personal to the ruins and natural landmarks. It is well worth the money spent to see the canyon from the perspective of being in the canyon. We booked with Beauty Way Jeep Tours, a Navajo family run business, and highly recommend it. JR was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the canyon. We learned so much. He grew up there and has family who have lived and still live in the canyon. Seeing the ruins so close was amazing but we particularly enjoyed hearing his personal stories. This gave us an understanding of the long rich history of the canyon. The canyon is not just an archaic place but a vital place where traditions, both old and contemporary coexist. We felt safe and had a lot of fun!

5.00We had such a wonderful day with Daniel! He shared so many fascinating insights about the canyon, its history, and the people who lived there. Even beyond the incredible archaeological sites, what made the day truly special was Daniel’s willingness to share his own stories, spirituality, and songs. We laughed a lot and felt so comfortable asking to stop for photos whenever we wanted. He took us to some truly meaningful places he’s known since childhood—it felt like seeing the canyon through a friend’s eyes. Highly recommend this experience!

5.00Our tour guide Ariana was a lot of fun, knowledgeable and a great driver. We were so lucky to meet her family in the canyon. The canyon is gorgeous, impressive and full of ancient ruins.
