The experience of exploring Madeira with Adventure Trikes is an experience not to be missed!

You have open views from all angles, experiencing the different micro-climates as we climb to contrasting heights.

Breathe in the fresh smells of eucalyptus and pine, riding on all of the old roads and through the tunnels.

Capturing breathtaking views as we go through roads that are nestled in the mountains.

Exploring and going through waterfalls. We also go into Curral das feraras(Nuns Valley).

Where is speculation as thats one of the craters of the volcano?

Some spectacular views. If you are a beer drinker you can try the chestnut beer which is exclusive to Nuns Valley.

Time permitting we stop for free Madeira Wine Tasting.

You can also try the local Poncha at Câmara de Lobos (fishing village). Our professional Guides will also take photos at all the different points and end of the tour they will be sent to you.

Valley of the Nuns

Our Guide will pick you up at any Hotel or Port in Funchal. He will explain all the different option you will have in our 3 hours Private Tour. We can ride for 45min to a Heights of 1089 meters above sea level, to the view point of Nuns Valley where speculation as it that its one of the craters of the Vulcano. Also know for its chestnuts. We also go into Nuns Valley where we experience these beautiful views from inside the crater. For beer drinkers if you want to stop and try a chestnut beer?

We did the 3 hour trip to Nuns Valley with Garth as our guide and driver. It was an amazing experience throughout and a great way to travel. Garth immediately put us at ease from the start and was an excellent guide. We felt completely safe at all times and saw some amazing scenery. Be prepared to have your photos taken as the trike attracts a lot of attention!! We would certainly consider doing this again if / when we return to Madeira.

What a great trip we had with Garth. An exciting drive up to Nun’s valley with great scenery. Marvellous views from the viewing point & then down into the valley. Then the trike played up in the rain - but no problem for the intrepid team at Adventure Trikes! John arrived to help out & off for a coffee & cake & for me chestnut beer & warming roast chestnuts. Extra waterproofs, excellent commentary, fresh air & scenery - all part of the adventure. Thanks fellas!

This is the fourth time we have been on the Adventure Trikes tour, and each time we both have thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it. Jon is a fantastic driver, careful and considerate. For the 3rd time a beautiful trip made under the expert guidance of a guide known to us. This time a little more the highway because of the destination. But the result was there. Perhaps next year again but at least warmly recommended!
The best way to experience the beautiful sights Madeira has to offer!

This simply has to be the most exhilarating way to experience the sights of Madeira! We were a group of four people so we hired two trikes and had so much fun being driven by John and Goth up to the Nuns Valley. Both are exceptionally passionate about the island and all it has to offer. Very safe and courteous drivers. Would highly recommend one of their tours. I don't think there is a better way to see the island - we had a blast!

This was our second trip with Adventure Trikes having done one last year. This is a different way of seeing the island and they were happy for us to choose where we wanted to go and see. We would highly recommend this company to others who might be considering a way of seeing the island in a more exciting way.

We hired 2 trikes for 3 adults. An amazing 2 hours with John and Goth in to the Valley of the Nuns. Stunning views, lots of info on all aspects of the island and the smell of the eucalyptus! What a pleasure to meet Maria a life long resident of the valley. Worth every penny. Thanks guys.

Absolutely fantastic trip to valley of the nuns. Goth, our driver/ tour guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He took time to explain all areas to us and was careful driver and knew my wife was little nervous cornering and took it easy. Goth made it a wonderful trip and would definitely recommend to anyone for a different trip in Madeira. Goth made sure we got loads of photos taken and never rushed us through the trip, in fact made sure we took our time at the different stops

We went on a 3-hour adventure with Garth yesterday. It was fantastic. This was the second time we had experienced Adventure Trikes they never dissapoint. We went all the way up to Eira do Serrado and then through the tunnel into the Nuns Valley. A beautiful day and exhilarating experience,only enhanced by Garth's extensive local knowledge, patience, and good humour. Highly recommended. Jen and Barry

Our driver was Goff (think that is how you spell it). He arrived on time to collect us from our Hotel. Jackets and helmets were perfect. First time on a trike and all safety etc was explained to us. He showed great knowledge of the island, was a safe driver and we saw some unbelievable sights. Great local knowledge and he took pains to explain how we could take as much time as we wanted at the various stops.
