A VIP private wildlife and landscape photography canoe tour. The history of Algonquin Park, Canoe Lake and Tom Thomson is also extensively covered.
Two adults (up to 210kg total) join the Algonquin Adventure Tours for 3 hours of interesting education, spectacular views, gourmet dining, fun stories and connecting with nature. Paddling Algonquin Park since 1981, and professionally guiding since 1996, Stuart has intimate knowledge of all things Algonquin.
An eco friendly 3hp electric motor get you across large sections of water. Stuart paddles in the tranquil areas. Your hands are free for photos or included HD binoculars.
Tom Thomson fans can literally walk in the famous artists footsteps when we visit his memorial and other locations. We use step stools for entering and exiting the canoe, so your feet don't need to get wet.
Any age ok. No smoking.

He never made false promises about what we should expect to see on this tour. We were lucky enough to see a Moose thanks to his friend giving him a heads up! 5.00Definitely recommended! No animals can spot, but beautiful nature and tranquility. Our guide Andrew also knew a lot to tell us. In the afternoon there were sandwiches provided that were very tasty!

5.00Fabulous experience. Andrew, our guide, was charming, well informed & looked after us very well. Neither of us had been in a canoe before & he made us feel very safe, didn’t even get my feet wet! 5.00Very pleasant walk with very competent guides who took us to totally isolated coves where we have the best chance to see animals. Well, no moose on the horizon but many birds and other batracians and the pleasure of fully enjoying nature.

5.00We did the private 3 hour canoe tour with Andrew today and it was definitely one highlight of our trip. Andrew greeted us at the lake at 6.45, and even provided some amazing Danish pastries for us. At this time we were the only ones out on the lake and it was so peaceful and quiet, we absolutely loved it. He was also the best guide and gave us some interesting information on the history of the lake and the animals around. If you ever visit Algonquin you should definitely add this tour to your itinerary!

5.00We had a fabulous time. Everything went so smoothly. Communication prior to our tour was excellent, which meant that they were able to accomodate my allergies with the lovely lunch provided. This is something we wouldn't have been able to do on our own as we are not boaters. Andrew, our guide, is an amazing, insightful, fabulous, fun, interactive guide who made the tour even more enjoyable. We look forward to coming back to see the fall colours sometime soon.
