The main attraction of Watarrka National Park is undoubtedly Kings Canyon – a humungous gorge enclosed by sheer rock walls many meters high. With its porous sandstone, deep gullies and hidden rock pools, it provides shelter to more than 600 species of native plants and animals. Your guide will point these out on a trek that takes in the canyon’s most famous locations – the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre, and ofcourse the North & South Walls of the canyon.

Such an unforgettable experience. Exceeded all expectations. Glad we got to do the Kings Canyon hike, the scenes were phenomenal at sunrise. Vibes were always high thanks to our amazing tour guide Lisa who cracked all the jokes and cooked us all of our delicious meals which were perfection!! She had the best energy and was so accommodating. Would recommend spending 3 nights so you can go to the field of lights show. Grateful that we booked in for the eco tents as it was freezing at night time.

We had the best 3 days with our tour guide Lisa! The days were well planned out. Be prepared for some early mornings but very worthwhile! Great value for money. Lots of walking so bring comfortable shoes. We did it in June so definitely bring plenty of layers. Flys weren’t that bad but still bring a fly net. We did the tents and the beds were super comfortable with thick blankets and duvet so stayed very warm at night. Lisa was really informative and great at answering all our questions. She’s was a comical queen as well 😂 Thank you Lisa would defo recommend this trip!!

A great family holiday. Traveled as a big group, and were well accommodated. Lisa is a knowledgeable and personable guide, we were lucky to have her with us. Bring fly nets! And lots of water for Kings Canyon. It’s cold at night, lovely by the fire.

Compared to the same adventure 25 yrs ago this was an upgrade in camping . Tower of power for devices, linens and pillow, twin bed with mattress, heavy blankets for the cool nights… tents seemed almost new. Lisa was a fantastic guide with great knowledge and respect for the area and its people. She was organized and professional while being perfectly funny. The sunset/sunrise spot at the camp was excellent. All the hiking and suggestions were great. Lisa is a great chef to top it off. I enjoyed all the meals and well timed snacks. Thanks for a great time with my family including ages 10-50 :)

The tour was amazing, Lisa was the best guide ever she was so thorough when telling us the plan for the day and the food she cooked was 10/10! The tour itself was so interesting, Lisa did a great job of telling us the stories of the land. We had ample time at each stop off. The price of the tour was very reasonable for what we got. The tent set up was so perfect, we had a bed pillow and duvet which was worth it! Would definitely recommend this tour to others and would do it again!! Lisa made the experience 10/10 for us ❤️

Loved this outback experience! Lisa was an incredible guide, super attentive & humorous! Nothing was too much trouble with Lisa! The right combination of time at The Olga's, Ayers Rock & Kings Canyon! The tents had beds and bedding provided so you weren’t sleeping on the ground in the tent. Make sure you rug up for the cold 🥶 for people attending in the winter months! Also be prepared for early morning starts! You need a reasonable level of agility/fitness for Kings Canyon! Food was simple but tasty (salad/cold meat wraps, BBQ, chicken stir fry, spaghetti bolognaise 🍝 and the last morning a hot breakfast 🍳 🥞 ). Also a solo female traveller I felt totally comfortable on this tour (paid for the single supplement to have a tent ⛺️ on my own) 🤩

The experience was amazing. All of the tours were beautiful and absolutely a once in a lifetime experience that I would love to go on again. Adventure Tour Guide Lisa was an amazing guide, she knew so much about the areas we went to and was an incredible positive influence. The food during the trip was great, especially after a hiking/walking trip. The crowd size was generous, about 20 of us on this trip and we got along fairly well. I think the trip was a great length also, three days and three nights were great to get a full experience. One thing to note, bringing layers is a must. You will get cold at night because the temperatures get down to and below 5 C. Also bring a lot of water, it gets very warm during the day and you will want the additional water.
