This is a tour to the most remote region of Georgia Tusheti. The road to the main village Omalo is considered to be one of the most dangerous ones in Euorope and the most dangerous in Georgia. Most of the time the road to Tusheti is closed due to the 3000 meter high Abano pass. It is a very beautiful region with awesome nature and architecture. The landscapes are very diverse and the villages have very beautiful towers as well as small, stone houses. The tour includes a beautiful and a bit scary drive, hikes to different places, lunch at family owned and tasty places and a stay at a family owned guesthouse either in Omalo or close to Omalo.

On this day most of the time will be dedicated to the road from Tbilisi to Omalo. The road is long but there will be lot of stops on the road for photos. Moreover on this day wine tasting and lunch in Kakheti wine region is included.

Dartlo
Dartlo is a very beautiful village in Tusheti region. It has very beautiful architecture and views. Above Dartlo there is one more village where it is possible to hike therefore the day will be dedicated to the hike and after hike lunch will be done at one of the guesthouses in Dartlo.
Omalo - Iliurta - Vestomta - Omalo

Iliurta is a very beautiful village as well. There is a very nice village in two hours hike from Iliurta called Vestomta. Vestomta is accessible only by foot and there is a single guesthouse there which provides lunch.

5.00Tusheti is a very beautiful Georgian region. The landscapes are arid, harsh, dry but very nice. The region itself is very remote. We drove for five hours from the valley up to the mountainous village of Omalo. The road is quite dangerous but if you drive slowly all will be ok although road and the drive is an experience itself. Villages Dartlo and Vestomya are very special. If you are an adventurous person this place is for you.

5.00I went to Tusheti last year with my wife. The road is scary but beautiful. Although the guide was very confident while driving. Tusheti is one of the best remote places we have ever been to. Guesthouse Tsetse was comfortable and the food was very nice. Hikes were nor easy nor difficult. It was possible to do the trek as well but we chose hikes. Special thanks to Zviad, the tour manager, and guide Dato.
