The Bayon was Angkor's final state temple built in the late 12th or early 13th century at the behest of Jayavarman VII. It’s the heart of Angkor Thom and the only one created exclusively to worship Buddhist deities to represent Mount Meru.

5.00Excellent tour of the primary temple complex, among the many, Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm. Superb narration by Mr Nob, our guide, covering ancient history to the present, and he was particularly sensitive to our needs and limitations as an older group. He made accommodations as necessary. We had lunch at two restaurants that featured delicious local Khmer cuisine and wrapped it up with a dining and cultural experience featuring Apsara dance performers. All in all, we are delighted to have signed up with Indochina Tours.

5.00We experienced a fabulous 3 day tour of Siem Reap with Pasquale as the guide and Mr Noel as the driver. Both were extraordinarily friendly and hospitable. Pasquale’s knowledge of the history, architecture, culture, food, flora was impressively comprehensive and expansive. We learned an incredible amount from him in a short period of time. He was relaxed, moved at our pace and tailored the tour to our interests and questions. We visited 8-10 temples, and he knew everything about each. He suggested we visit additional temples with him based on our interests. We cannot express enough how wonderful of a guide he was for us. His generosity of spirit, candor and knowledge were unsurpassed! He left us with such a positive experience in Cambodia!
