Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara At 8 o’clock you will be picked up from your Hotel or residency within Nairobi CBD and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Lunch will be picnic on the way in Narok town. In the afternoon after you check in depart for an evening game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai Mara is the wonder of the world.

Spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve under a croton shade tree as you scale the Mara beauty sited at the banks of Mara river. Optional: In the evening, Visit the local Maasai village for a Maasai cultural tour at USD 20 per person. A balloon safari at USD 380 per person(optional) can be organized early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

5.00Our driver, Albert was amazing. The drive to and from the Maasai Mara was an experience. Albert was a great tour guide. The Rhino Camp was nice for budget friendly and the food was good. The people even nicer. I highly recommend hiring Albert as your tour guide and safari driver. He was so nice, extremely knowledgeable and an expert driver.

Our driver (and guide), Mr. Sammy, explained everything clearly even for someone like me who struggles with English, and he found and pointed out so many animals. All while driving precisely and safely on difficult roads. I was amazed by his toughness and high concentration. He also adjusted the safari schedule to suit our preferences. He is truly a kind person. And the tour consultant at this company is exceptionally competent. They responded quickly, kindly, and thoroughly to all our detailed requests. 5.00A small team of conservationists from the USA went to the Maasai Mara for a team retreat in May 2018. George Mumba was our driver and safari guide. He is extremely knowledgeable not only about the Maasai Mara but of Kenya in general, always in a good mood and fun to be around. He is always on time and delivers what he promises. He was extremely flexible to accommodate changes in our original itinerary. I have traveled with George's company three times now over the last 5 years and I as long as I can, I will always choose his company for my safari trips in Kenya and eastern Africa.
