Book at least 20 days in advance so tour operator may attain your Tibet Permit. Tibet Permit will be delivered to customers' delivery address / hotel address in one city of China. Please note your tour operator will contact you after the booking is confirmed.
Travelers are required to provide photocopy of passports and China L visas at least 20 days prior to travel date.
Please Notice: Customers' airport pick-up and drop-off in Lhasa need be arranged by tour supplier. If customers fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, please do not apply for China L Visa in advance, because customers need apply for their Tibet Group Visa from China Embassy in Kathmandu via travel agency. Before that, they need ask for invitation letter from tour supplier. If customers fly or take a train to Lhasa from one city of China, they need apply for their China L Visa from China Embassy in their country.
You will be given your contact information on your confirmation voucher which you will receive after your booking, so that you can send your passport and Chinese visa to tour supplier.
A valid passport and China L Visa used to apply for Tibet Permit are required on the traveling period

Upon arrival, our Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport or train station. You'll then be transferred to your hotel in downtown Lhasa. Along the way, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhasa River, and the typical Tibetan villages. After arriving at the hotel, take some time to rest and acclimate to the high altitude. It's helpful to take it easy for the first few days and remember to stay hydrated by drinking water. Please note that there will be no sightseeing scheduled for today.

Potala Palace
Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Jokhang Temple
Then after lunch, tourists head to Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple.
Barkhor Street
Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. Besides, We can taste Tibetan tea with locals in tea house; The welcome dinner will also be arranged accordingly.

Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si)
In the morning, you are going to visit Dadong Village, the most beautiful village in Lhasa. Located 25 kilometers southwest of Lhasa downtown, Dadong Village is a well-protected ancient Tibetan village that surrounded by valleys. After arriving, you will visit the Nyimatang Monastery (built in the 11th century), take a light walk in the village, and see what rural life in Lhasa is like. You will also visit a local Tibetan family and enjoy the lunch offered by the family. Notice: we will go to Dadong Village intead of Drepung Monastery.
Sera Monastery
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 o'clock in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha.

5.00Took the 4 day Lhasa city tour, which is essentially a 2 day experience due to travelling. Amy went above and beyond organising this for me and was very helpful answering all my questions beforehand. Tintin our tour guide was amazing, explaining everything in great details maybe in a bit too much details throughout the day, great person! We were 11 people i would have preferred a bit less people though and maybe some more individual spending time. Amazing tour, good sights, we had some local experiences as well, i wish i stayed more days in Tibet! Next time!

5.00Very good experience withbour tour guide name Pasang and driver, they are very attentive with our need and our request including doing small change of the itinerary. Pasang have a very well knowlegde about all sites that we visited.. Also he bring us to have local cuisine during the trip.. very amazing trip

4.00I originally booked with a different company but was provided tour and driver services by Dickey and Jampa. Dickey was an amazing guide who was knowledgeable and easy to communicate with in English. She was a perfect match for our tour group. I found her sense of humour wonderful. Would highly recommend tour and guide services from Jampa and Dickey. Thank you 🙏🏼

5.00What an unique experience and everything worked well: train reservation to Lhasa, nice hotel, and flow of the itinerary. We had all the needed support. I want to highlight our amazing guide Choezom, who was very supportive and took care of us. Also, another highlight is the cultural activity to medidate, make incense, learn Tibetan caligraphy and make our own flags.
Cultural immersion with one of the best local guides we have ever had.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Tibet Vista, from booking right through to the tour. We arrived at the station to be collected by a wonderful driver who recommended an excellent spot for breakfast when we couldn’t check into our hotel. Our local tour guide Lhakpa Tenzin was an absolute gem- full of knowledge and stories to help ground and give context to what we were seeing, and we have come away feeling like we have be welcome guests. He was so knowledgeable around Tibetan Buddhism and the history of the temples, palaces and monasteries that some of the local people were even stopping to listen to his explanations! No question was too much. We cannot recommend Tibet Vista enough, and will absolutely engage them again when we return to this beautiful and peaceful part of the world.

5.00Sharing the same review I left on Trust Pilot so I don’t have to type it out again… I just wrapped up the two day tour of Lhasa (I think it’s listed as 4 days, the first day they picked me up from the airport late morning and I spent the rest of the day acclimating to the altitude - I didn’t think I’d need it, but I 1000% did, it’s no joke - and the last day they dropped me back at the airport). It’s part of a larger trip for me, so two days was a good amount of time to hit the highlights. And we really packed in a lot over two days. Tibet Vista came recommended online so I reached out. Everything went pretty smoothly, as much as can be expected. I’d recommend getting the number of the guide meeting you at the airport and downloading WeChat ahead of time to coordinate, it took me about 20 minutes to find him once I arrived and got my bag. That was really the only minor hiccup. But through the process, they were patient and pretty responsive when I had questions (the process is a lot- getting a Chinese visa and then getting a Tibet permit), but it all came together last minute before I left the States and they got my tour sorted. Two shoutouts: Gelek was my guide and he was amazing. He knew absolutely everything. Hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had on any trip. I am only going to be able to remember 25% of what he told me, but I enjoyed hearing it. His English is really good and he is fun to hang out with, request him if you can. Grace helped me with all of the paperwork and getting it planned. She was patient even though I was really slow to get started and she went above and beyond to make sure the physical copy was at my hotel the night before I flew into Lhasa. Overall I highly recommend Tibet Vista. They have good connections for food and hotel, the whole experience was smooth and visiting Tibet was special!

5.00I went in November 2025, and the experience was outstanding. I can recommend going in the winter season as you will get various free upgrades, as well as there being very few other tourists. I took the train journey into Lhasa, which was a beautiful train ride. Arriving at 7am on the first day also gave me a whole day free to explore the city self-guided! A great chance to see some extra spots not on the itinerary. The Lalu wetlands have great views of the city of you have time, and the Tibet Museum is also worth a trip. The next two days we visited various monasteries, the old town, and the potala palace. The locations were phenomenal and our guide 德庆 was very informative, spoke excellent English and answered all questions. On the last day we finished a couple of hours early, which gave extra time to buy some souvenirs at a less touristy market. On the last day I picked an early flight out, but I would suggest booking a flight out later in the day to give you some more free time for self-guided exploration. The experience was absolutely worth the price, and it was a privilege to visit Tibet. There is SO MUCH culture to see, and if I had more time I would have picked an extended tour crossing the Himalayas. Our group was a mix of ages and nationalities which was nice!
