  Our trip through Romania was absolutely amazing, thanks to our exceptional tour leader, George. From the start, George was welcoming, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable about the country’s rich history, traditions, and beautiful landscapes. He planned each day with great care, balancing structure with flexibility so we could enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. His stories brought each place to life, and his passion for Romania made the experience even more special. George always made sure everyone felt comfortable, informed, and included.   George is an amazing guide! Like seriously one of the top guides we have ever had. We were on a family trip across the Balkans and our tour in Romania was the highlight our trip because of him. Though our time in Romania was short, he truly made the most of it, sharing Romanian history and culture. The way he is able to talk about history and relate it to the present day in a conversational way and give nuanced answers to questions makes everything that much more memorable. I truly felt like I walked away with a better understanding of Romania and what makes it unique within the Balkans. His food recommendations were great too! Besides being a great guide, he is genuinely just an awesome person. I will not hesitate to book with him again if I'm ever in Romania and highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip.

  George made our trip to Romania! He was so informative with the history of each area we went to, telling us little stories that you would never know travelling on your own. From big things like driving us all over the place right down to coming into the pharmacy with me to make sure I got the medication I needed, George was fantastic and couldn't do enough for us! Super friendly, flawless English, easy going and full of great recommendations for local food and drink. He even took pictures of us during the Husky sledging!   We toured Transylvania with George Trandafir. He is a most likeable and very knowledgeable gentleman. George was actively involved in helping us to plan our itinerary. His hotel recommendations were excellent as were his restaurant suggestions while on tour. George knows Romania quite well and knows the best sites to see and when best to see them. He was very generous with his time, quite flexible, always on time and a pleasure to be with. Overall, we found George to be a great guide who provided us with an enjoyable and memorable experience at a fair price. We highly recommend George!! Allan and Janet from Canada.

  We loved everything about the places we visited in Transylvania. Our guide George gave us vital information on what were the most interesting places to visit, for example the Evangelical church in Sibiui. Our stay in Breb was magical.

  After a conference in Bucharest, we went on a short tour with George along with 7 other conference attendees. It was a fantastic trip to the beautiful Transylvania area of Romania. Although, we covered a lot of ground in a 3-day trip, George's meticulous planning ensured we never felt rushed, and he made sure he budgeted some time so people on the tour were free to do some shopping, a hike etc. The selection of hotels was excellent, right at the center of town, very convenient to major sights and restaurants. George made everyone feel at home and he provided wonderful overviews of the different sights we were visiting. He was very attentive and took everybody's needs into consideration. Multumesc George.

  I travel quite a bit and do not usually get tour guides. But because this one is for Eastern (as opposed to Western) Europe, a friend suggested to me that it's better to join an organized tour. That was a great piece of advice and the tour I picked with George (who owns Touring Romania) was absolutely wonderful. The tour covered a number of scenic towns and castles in Transylvania and you'd enjoy it immensely if you're into natural beauty and/or history. George was very friendly, very professional, and knowledgeable. He's great at striking the right balance between giving you interesting information and not overloading you with it. The van ride was great because he explained things but there was also plenty of quiet time to just soak in the scenery or just have a little nap. Also, the pace of the tour was just right. We covered numerous sights and there was plenty of time for us to explore each town on our own. I would highly recommend this tour. One final tip - Before leaving Brazov, I'd highly recommend you take the cable car to the Tampa mountaintop. The views from the top are amazing. The service starts at 9:30 and if you make it to the ticketing office about 20-30 minutes in advance and catch the first car up, you should have enough time to go where the big Brazov sign is, soak in the view, take some pictures, take the cable car down, and be back at the hotel for 10:30 departure.

  Our whole trip was enhanced by George’s knowledge of Romania, his willingness to accommodate our requests, his kindness and great enthusiasm. His planning was exemplary; no part of his program was disappointing.

  We have just got home from an amazing trip around Romania with George as our guide . George brought this wonderful country to life for me and my husband with both his extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Romania as we explored Brasov Sibiu and Bucharest , nothing was too much trouble and we can honestly say it was one of our best holidays we have had . We had great food in local restaurants , had a very comfortable journey in George’s vehicle and all the hotels were great with fantastic locations, great rooms and a good breakfast to get us ready for the day . Highlights include the 1.5 hour husky sled ride ( so cool ) Sibiu ,the trip to the ice hotel via the cable car , and finally a very lucky and safe sighting of a brown bear on our drive up to the Carpathian’s.
