Gunnuhver Hot Springs
You spend some time visiting this geothermal area, which features steam vents, hot mud pools, and an incredible landscape shaped by the minerals in the ground. You see vibrant hues on steaming surfaces with the Reykjanes lighthouse in the background. This is undoubtedly a place not to miss!
Kleifarvatn Lake
Reykjanesbær peninsula´s largest lake, Kleifarvatn, is also among Iceland´s deepest lakes with almost 100 meters in depth. The water comes from the porous lava ground around it and is home to many fishes, particularly anglers! The lake reflects Iceland´s beauty in its simplicity, with lava ground covered in many places by thousand years´ old moss.
Skógar Campsite - Skógum, 861 Hvolsvelli - 2 minutes driving from the last location, Skógafoss Waterall
Pingvellir National Park
Þingvellir National Park is the first point of the famous Golden Circle route. This is not only a geological marvel where Öxará waterfall (or Öxarárfoss) and Silfra Fissure were born out of the continental drift, splitting the earth‘s crust at various locations but it is also an important historical and political site. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage. The park´s visit is free, however, you have to pay a Parking fee, which is not included in the tour´s price.
Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths
You go for a Rye Bread tour at 11.45 AM where the dough is cooked on the very ground by the geothermal heat and you can, of course, taste it! You then soak in the deliciously warm waters of Fontana Bath from which you have a panoramic view of the lake.
Geysir
You next visit Geysir where the geyser Strokkur shoots its warm water column up to 15 meters in the air. Geysir is the second point on the famous Golden Circle route that you are scheduled to visit.
You complete the Golden Circle with a visit to the mighty waterfall Gullfoss which chute impressively drops down in a narrow gorge from 32 meters high. We also recommend you visit Friðheimar Restaurant and Farm, famous for its horse breeding and horse show activities, and its tomato farm entirely run with geothermal energy using biological pest controls. Friðheimar is open for visits and has a restaurant where you can taste their tomatoes' specialties. Note that this is only our recommendation, the admission fee is not included in the tour price. Booking in advance needs to be done by you either by e-mail to [email protected] or by a phone call to (+354) 486 8894. If you chose to come here, it will take you 1 hour and 30 minutes, including the driving time from Gullfoss Waterfall.
Kerid Crater
You next visit Kerid volcanic crater, which is located just a 20-minute drive away from Eldhestar. The crater is approximately 3000 years old and is covered with vivid colored grounds in the summer. The crater is a lovely site in its winter coat, particularly when its inner lake catches the sunlight on frosty days. To walk up to the crater, there is a small admission fee to pay, which is not included in the tour price.
Seljalandsfoss
Seljalandsfoss is a 60 meters high waterfall behind which you can walk. It is a very picturesque site and is therefore widely photographed and featured. Note that entrance to the waterfall area is free; however, there is a parking fee you must pay, which is not included in the tour price.
Next, you visit the impressive Skógafoss waterfall which is fed by the melting waters from Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. This powerful chute provides a unique experience where deafening sounds, water spray, and rainbows surround you as the light reflects on the droplets. Be ready to be amazed!
Reykjavík campsite - Sundlaugavegur 32, 105 Reykjavík - 10 mins driving from the last stop, FlyOver
Dyrholaey
Dyrhólaey or Doorhill Island is the remains of what used to be island thousands of years ago. The promenade is a 120 meters rock formation that has a gaping hole in the middle where ships used to sail through. Today, Dyrhólaey is a top-rated site in Iceland and is home to many bird species.
Reynisfjara Beach
Next, you visit the Reynisfjara beach and its well-renowned cliff Reynisfjall. The basalt columns of the cliff wall provide a unique atmosphere to the site. You may like to sit on some of them and gaze away at the three basalt rock formations standing out of the powerful Atlantic Sea. Rumor has it that they are the remains of trolls who wanted to reach the shore but got caught by daylight, which transformed them instantly.
Solheimajokull Glacier
You experience today an unforgettable activity in Iceland: a glacier hike on the Sólheimajökull glacier! For 3 hours you walk on its rooftop and learn about its crevasses and fissures, how it was formed, and many more interesting details.
FlyOver Iceland
FlyOver is a 45-minute original activity where you visit Iceland right from Reykjavík! Suspended 20 meters above the ground with your feet dangling and strapped in a motion seat, you are in front of a semi-spherical screen where you visit Iceland from a flight simulation. The special effects like wind, scents, and mist add the final touch to the experience.

Depending on your flight time departure, you might like to visit the capital further and see the Sun Voyager, a famous sculpture by the sea which represents freedom and hope, Hallgrímskirkja church, whose architecture was inspired by basalt columns in the Icelandic nature, or Perlan, a museum, and restaurant perched on top of 4 water tanks. After some time in Reykjavík, you head towards CampEasy's office for the return of your camper! The statue is placed right by the sea with majestic mountains in the background. It is for sure something not to miss!

Note that the entrance to the church is free, however, you need pay an admission fee if you wish to walk up to the church´s tower, which is not included in the tour price.
Perlan
If you still have some time left until your flight, we suggest you visit Perlan, which is a a museum located on top of four water reservoir tanks that provide for Reykjavík city. You can participate in the Aurora Show, which delivers all secrets about the northern lights. If you choose to do that, note that the admission fee for the show and the museum, is not included in the tour price.

I had an outstanding experience with Campeasy during my recent travels in Iceland. From the moment we arrived to pick up our van, Dawid was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He took the time to ensure that everything with the van was in perfect order before we set off on our adventure. Dawid's customer service skills truly set him apart. He was not only friendly and approachable but also extremely knowledgeable. He patiently explained all the features of the van and made sure we were comfortable and confident with the vehicle. Moreover, Dawid shared valuable local tips and advice that enhanced our traveling experience significantly. Returning the van was just as smooth, thanks to Dawid's efficiency and thoroughness. He made the whole process seamless and stress-free, confirming that everything was well taken care of. I highly recommend Campeasy for anyone looking for reliable and comfortable rental options in Iceland. Special thanks to Dawid for making our trip memorable with his kindness and expertise. Truly a gem of the company!

My wife and I recently did a 7 day, (5 full days in the Van) trip to Iceland. We utilized the self check in after hours and it was super easy. The Easy Clever 4x4 was large and spacious enough to make it comfortable, especially sleeping, but small enough to not get blown by the wind like the taller vehicles. It was also very fuel efficient as well. The heater fueled by both separate car batteries and diseased fuel worked most of the time. It was a little quirky but did its job. Overall, the company was very easy to use, they sent alerts out for severe weather, and the tablet made finding attractions easy. When we go back (in the summer) we will use CampEasy again. If you are visiting in the winter, I recommend 4x4, we absolutely needed it and was coupled with icy roads and hurricane force winds. The company also gave us a ride via shuttle to the hotel in the nearby town. For reference, a taxi to Easy Clever (<10 min drive) was $43.

We rented for 5 days a Easy Ranger 4x4, the newest van they have. It was our first experience in a van by ourselves. I grow up with my father and he is a really Campervan Fan (we visit the Europe with his Campe) so I can understand the quality provide by CampEasy! Everything was perfect, starting from the reservation till the drop off. The girls at the office were extremely helpful with us. The van was full of everything we needed for the trip (towels, gas, gps, tablet, sheets, water 💧). I drove easily in the Southern even if I usually drive a Lancia Y 🤣. Really appreciate the service and the help they gave us before , through and after the trip. We think to come back next year and we’ll rent again at CampEasy. ❤️❤️
