Experience the Grand Canyon on a guided Sunset Rim Tour with Canyon Ministries, exploring this world-renowned landscape from a biblical Creation perspective.
The tour begins inside Grand Canyon National Park at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center flagpole, meeting approximately four hours before sunset. Travel in comfort along Desert View Drive on the South Rim’s east side, stopping at some of the canyon’s most spectacular overlooks and panoramic viewpoints.
At each stop, step out to enjoy breathtaking scenery, explore the rim, and engage in meaningful teaching. Your guide shares fascinating insights into Grand Canyon geology, wildlife, and history, framed by the biblical account of Creation and the Flood described in Genesis.
The tour concludes with a stunning Grand Canyon sunset as the sun sets over the western horizon. Duration varies by season, returning about 30 minutes after sunset.

Grand Canyon South Rim
Our biblical creation tours of the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim include multiple stops to the very best overlooks with tons of insightful teaching throughout the day. The order below is a "typical" route, focusing on the park's east side along Desert View Drive. Due to changing weather, seasons, or the people flow in the park that day, we may have alternate stops other than what we provide below. Our tours are not "scripted", so guides have the freedom and flexibility to respond to changes in the park as well as your own individual group dynamic. Our tour does not include entry fee into the Grand Canyon National Park, which you may pay at the gate or use a National Park Pass. Entry is good for 7 days of unlimited use.
Grand Canyon Visitor Center South Rim
Our tour meets at the flag pole just outside the Grand Canyon Visitor Center building INSIDE the park at tour start time. Plan extra arrival time during spring and summer. Holidays and spring break may have lines over an hour long getting into the park. We suggest you arrive early and enjoy views at the Grand Canyon Village or Mather Point or a Rim Trail walk before joining our tour.

5.00I loved how it connected the gospel with the formation and beauty of the canyon. I loved being able to share the experience with other believers. We are sorry in case any negative feedback from our group as we were out watching the colors in sky beyond what the others did not knowing everyone was ready to go. So only feedback would be to let people know what time to be back at van to leave.

5.00This tour was the highlight of our trip to the Grand Canyon. Our tour guide, Emelia, displayed exceptional knowledge and practical biblical insight and was able to bring to life and dovetail both together in a remarkable and applicable way. Effort was made to learn the names of each person on the tour and to engage each in the conversation and learning. We found the trip not just a value, but very valuable. Our four hour trip flew by far too quickly. All were made to feel welcome and comfortable. A connection was quickly made with fellow participants in the tour and we parted that evening as friends.
