The Karnak Temple
We will head to Karnak temple. The largest religious building ever constructed. It has a massive size and will really leave you shocked. Each statue and part of it has a story behind. Enjoy watching the massive hall of columns with a total number of 134 columns, it's the largest one all over. Continue seeing the gigantic scarab beetle, big obelisks and the sacred lake of the temple. Our guide will ensure that you know the story and the history of the place then leave you to enjoy the place in peace and take pictures.
Luxor Temple
In front of the temple is the beginning of the Avenue of Sphinxes that ran all the way to the temples at Karnak 3km to the north, and is now almost entirely excavated. The outer part of this temple was built by Ramses the second while the inner part was done by Amenophis III. Alexander the great as well added his own touch and reconstructed the altar and put deceptions of him on the walls of this temple.

Your private Egyptologist will pick you up from your Nile cruise to discover the West bank of Luxor. Start your day visiting Valley of the Kings, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 65 Pharaohs. You will get a full explanation of the place, why it was picked to be the royal cemetery and get an explanation of what you will be seeing inside the tombs. It is the place where the famous king TutAnkhAmun was burried and found with all of his treasures!

Hatshepsut's temple is one of the world’s most striking architectural masterpieces, but perhaps even more noteworthy is the woman who commissioned it. She was the first woman ever to rule Egypt. Before finishing your west bank tour you will stop by the Colossi of Memnon, the 2 singing statues. Sadly, they stopped singing! How did solid statues use to sing or make a sound? Edfu Temple
Your private Egyptologist will accompany you to Edfu temple dedicated to Horus which is considered by most to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus fought his enemies to support god Ra Horakhty.
Kom Ombo Temple
Kom Ombo temple is standing on high grounds overlooking The Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance, each one is dedicated to divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built on the honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek. Then head to the crocodile museum to see a few mummified crocodiles (ticket for the museum is included).

Temple of Philae
It is Egypt's ancient center for the cult of Isis, the Temples of Philae were venerated from the Pharaonic era through the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods with each ruler making their own additions to the stones here. This sacred site has dazzled travelers since the first Nile cruises set off from Cairo and is one of Nubia's most important monument sites. Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO's rescue project during the building of the Aswan High Dam, the temples were transferred block by block from their original place on Philae Island to Agilika Island

5.00My partner and I had an amazing week long tour in Egypt organised by Golden Luxor tours. Our amazing local guides, George and Yehia, were super knowledgeable and provided plenty of interesting information throughout our trip through Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. Golden Luxor organised our trip from end-to-end, including all internal flights for us as well as a 3 night cruise from Aswan to Luxor, and everything ran smoothly and was to a very high standard. We received excellent communication on all aspects of the trip both before and throughout, and had great private drivers who were very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend Golden Luxor Tours to anyone considering a trip to Egypt!

5.00My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time on the Luxor to Aswan Nile cruise. The boat accommodations were very nice King Bed with sitting area. The meals and staff were pleasant. But the best part was George our host and guide. George provided exceptional information for every site visited and offered us additional services based on our interests. The highlight was Aswan and the water/boat related tours. Would highly recommend Golden Luxor Tours and George for Egyptian tours and experiences

5.00Golden Luxor Tours popped up on Reddit when I was doing my research for a family trip to Egypt and it turned out to be the best decision we made! It was very easy to coordinate with them to decide on the exact package we wanted. We ended up opting for the 4-day River cruise to include Abu Simbel (which I definitely recommend you visit!) with a private guide, and our entire 4 days were seamless and well-planned out. Ms. Nancy from GL gave us a great itinerary that didn’t leave us exhausted and she even upgraded our boat to a higher tier! The true highlight though was Mr. George, our very patient guide who explained everything properly, took the time to answer our random questions and showed us around, all with a great sense of humour. The company really took out all the stress of travelling, the package included all our entry tickets which were purchased in advance so no waiting around and there was a driver promptly waiting for us for all transfers (this would be an even bigger advantage in the summer sun I’m sure) I would 100% recommend them, they took our Egypt trip from memorable to a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

5.00Had an amazing bespoke tour put on by Golden Luxor Tours. From the Pyramids of Giza to Luxor, and down the Nile to Aswan; a road trip to Abu Simbel; and then back to Cairo for Dahshour and Saqqara, everything was seamlessly organised and we were expertly guided by Yehia for the Cairo legs and George from Luxor on. We made wonderful, lifetime memories and thank both of them for being such welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. Would not hesitate recommending Golden Luxor Tours for your Egypt adventure 😊

5.00It was the trip of a lifetime. We spent ~ 10 days in the region, majority of the time of the time in Egypt. We love learning about the places we go to when we travel. For this reason, having a private tour, not being in a big bus tour group, is the best way to explore and learn. Through Golden Luxor, we had not only private guides, they are also very knowledgeable historians and Egyptologists teaching us about the splendor of Egypt. They were fantastic and took care of all our needs along the way. George paid attention to every detail of our trip, and arranged everything seamlessly. We had a great experience and learned a lot! Highly recommended.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the river cruise trip - both the cruise itself & also the visits to the amazing places on the journey. Being helped and guided by George made our trip really brilliant. He was hard-working, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and we really enjoyed all of the information that he told us, as well as just chatting about the [ancient and more modern] history of the Nile and the places that we visited. The cruise was a joy - relaxing and peaceful as we sailed down the glorious and majestic river - and the visits were fascinating. We don’t think that it could have been better and would strongly recommend this trip

5.00Wow! So much fun! The cruise itself, staff, food was amazing. Our daily excursions were more than expected. So much history, we were in awe every day. The topping on the cake was our most awesome guide GEORGE! The BEST! He is knowledgeable, personable, speaks excellent English and is just an all around nice guy!

5.00I have 0 complaints about this tour. The boat was amazing, the sites along the way were breathtaking, but the biggest highlight was our guide, George. George had an answer to every question we had. He has so much knowledge but is also so kind and made sure we were always comfortable and having a great time. I learned so much from him and am so thankful for him. I would recommend this trip to everyone!!
