The tour is commented with stops at several remarkable sites, offering breathtaking scenery up to Caldera, an extinct volcanic crater that gave birth to Tahiti Nui. Looking back, the description is accurate. We were warned that it was not appropriate for pregnant women or people with back problems so we expected patches of rough terrain. What we did NOT expect was that the ENTIRE 8 hour journey would be over severe terrain with huge potholes the whole time without relief. We saw amazing sites and scenery and our guides were excellent, but if we had realized that the entire 8 hours would be filled with bumps and jostling we would not have signed up. It might be helpful to let prospective clients know this.

If you want to get to the heart of Tahiti then this is the tour for you. Leonie , our driver is exceptional. If you only have time for one tour whilst on the island , take this one ! The flora and fauna will blow your mind ! Be prepared it’s dumpy but it’s worth it.
Tahiti meets Indiana Jones ride.

This was the absolute highlight of our trip! We don’t usually review but this was so special and memorable, we would happily give ten stars if we could. Leonie and Maggie guided us thru the central part of Tahiti on the most epic and educational adventure. Swimming, waterfalls, dance lesson, eel feeding, nail biting off roading… We didn’t stop smiling for six hours. Don’t miss it!

Absolutely wonderful experience. We had a fantastic time getting to see the interior of island. The views around every corner were breathtaking. Leonie was a great tour guide, stopping several times on the tour to tell us about the sights, plants, and cultural importance. I highly recommend this tour.

I have traveled to many countries around the world and seen some of the most amazing sites, but the views on this trip surpassed them all! The views of the majestic mountains, lush forest, and waterfalls was breathtaking! If you do anything in Tahiti do this excursion from this tour group as not all go as deep into the wilderness as this group does.

Great tour with Leonie. The off-road route took us to beautiful viewpoints and places you wouldn’t reach on your own. Leonie was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience relaxed and informative. A very enjoyable way to see more of the island—highly recommend.

A great 4x4 tour!! Untouched nature, waterfalls all around, lovely camp with a swim in the river surrounded by high mountains. Our guide Leoni was wonderful and gave us super information on history, nature and daily live today and in the past.

The scenery is beautiful and unparalleled, but to get there is almost 8 hours of bone-jarring bouncing experience in the back of an open-air safari-type vehicle. Even for the able-bodied it is challenging.
