Your journey begins with an early morning pickup in Windhoek, followed by a transfer to the Windhoek Truck Port departure point, where the shared shuttle departs for the Namib Desert region. Travel south through Namibia’s scenic landscapes, passing mountain ranges, open savannah, and desert plains on the way to the Namib-Naukluft area. Arrival is in the afternoon at Namib Desert Lodge or similar accommodation, located just outside the Namib-Naukluft National Park. After check-in, relax and enjoy the stunning desert scenery surrounding the lodge.
Solitaire Stop: Stop at the small desert settlement of Solitaire, famous for its legendary apple pie at Moose McGregor Bakery and its collection of vintage cars, a favorite photography spot for travelers exploring the Namib Desert.
Day 2: Sossusvlei Excursion – Deadvlei – Dune 45 – Sesriem Canyon

Dune 45
Dune 45 is one of the most famous and most photographed sand dunes in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Named for its location 45 kilometers from the Sesriem gate, this impressive dune rises about 170 meters above the desert floor and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding red sand dunes. Travelers will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the dune, walking along the sharp ridge of soft red sand. From the summit, visitors can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Namib Desert, with endless dunes stretching across the landscape.
Big Daddy Dune
Big Daddy is one of the tallest sand dunes in the Sossusvlei area, rising approximately 325 meters above the desert floor. Located between Sossusvlei and Deadvlei inside Namib-Naukluft National Park, this massive dune offers one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Namib Desert.
Sossusvlei
Deadvlei is one of the most iconic and surreal landscapes in Namib-Naukluft National Park. Located near Sossusvlei, this striking white clay pan is surrounded by some of the tallest red sand dunes in the world, creating one of the most photographed scenes in Namibia Visitors will have time to explore the pan, photograph the unique landscape, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert. The dramatic colors, textures, and lighting conditions make Deadvlei one of the most extraordinary photography locations in the Namib Desert and a highlight of any visit to Sossusvlei.
Sesriem Canyon
Visitors can enjoy a short walk through parts of the canyon while observing its unique rock formations, desert plants, and occasional pools of water, which sometimes attract wildlife. The canyon provides a fascinating contrast to the vast open dunes of the Namib Desert and is an interesting stop during the Sossusvlei excursion.
Day 3: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund

After breakfast, depart the desert and travel through the Gaub and Kuiseb mountain passes toward Namibia’s Atlantic coast. Enjoy the dramatic transition where the desert meets the ocean. Arrival in the coastal town of Swakopmund is expected in the afternoon. Swakopmund is known for its German colonial architecture, seaside promenade, and relaxed atmosphere. Guests can explore the town, visit cafes, or walk along the beach..

Walvis Bay Waterfront
Morning Activity: Marine Boat Cruise (Walvis Bay) Start the morning with a marine wildlife cruise from Walvis Bay. Board a comfortable catamaran and sail across the calm waters of the Walvis Bay Lagoon and harbor, an area known for its rich marine life. During the cruise, travelers often encounter Cape fur seals, dolphins, pelicans, flamingos, and other seabirds. Curious seals and pelicans frequently come close to the boat, creating great opportunities for photos and unforgettable wildlife encounters. Guests can relax on board while enjoying fresh Walvis Bay oysters, sparkling wine, light snacks, and refreshments as the boat cruises along the scenic coastline.
Afternoon Activity: Sandwich Harbour 4x4 Adventure In the afternoon, continue with an exciting 4x4 adventure to Sandwich Harbour, one of Namibia’s most dramatic coastal landscapes. Located within Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sandwich Harbour is famous for its towering sand dunes that plunge directly into the Atlantic Ocean. Travel along the coastline in a specially equipped 4x4 vehicle, navigating sandy tracks and steep dunes with an experienced guide. Along the way, stop at scenic viewpoints to take photographs and learn about the region’s unique desert ecosystem and coastal wildlife. At Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, guests can walk along the beach or climb nearby dunes while enjoying incredible views where the desert meets the ocean. The experience includes refreshments and light snacks, allowing travelers to relax and enjoy this unforgettable setting. Return to Swakopmund in the late afternoon.
Day 5: Swakopmund to Windhoek
Windhoek
After breakfast, depart Swakopmund and travel back inland toward Windhoek. Enjoy scenic views of Namibia’s vast landscapes during the journey. Arrival in Windhoek is expected in the afternoon, where guests will be dropped off at the Windhoek Truck Port, followed by transfer to selected hotels.

5.00We are REALLY happy we chose People Tour and we highly recommend our guide Tuhafeni. We went on a 5-day tour covering everything I wanted in Namibia - the beautiful landscape of the desert, Deadvlei, the dunes meeting the ocean in Walvis Bay, the seal colony, one beautiful sunset after the other and, of course, amazing food. The hotels were great. We usually stay in modest places, so for us it was a royal treatment for our vacation. Tuhafeni had great knowledge to share about all places, the wildlife, cool photo spots, the culture, everything. Overall a really nice person to be around and really made us feel comfortable throughout the journey. We covered 1500km in 5 days, but the landscape is so beautiful that I never got tired of just observing everything from the window - and also looking for wildlife all the time. It was fun and relaxing and we wish we had more time to cover more and continue the tour for a few more days. Thanks Tuhafeni and People Tour for the amazing experience!

5.00The 5-Day Sossusvlei & Sandwich Harbour Photography Tour was the ultimate combination of relaxation and adventure! Luke was the best guide I could have asked for! He's thoughtful about your needs and is a fountain of knowledge for every aspect of the tour. His passion for sharing all of the amazing things Namibia has to offer is so contagious, you'll fall in love with all of the breathtaking nature he'll share with you. No matter what situation you're in, Luke will take care of everything. There was higher rainfall than usual which made some of the roads hard to pass, but he made it through smoothly; like a champ! He is mindful of fitness levels and will cheer you on as you trek up the sand dunes for epic views. He'll also make sure you have plenty of space and time to get the best photos. Your trip will be packed with unique experiences! Froggy made driving on the sand dunes a once in a lifetime adventure as he's such an expert on finding the most exciting dunes. It was such a highlight that I've told so many people about it since the trip! With all of the driving and different destinations, I was super happy that I booked a tour rather than trying to do it myself; you definitely get your money's worth with the great choices in accommodation and activities! It was also so effortless as the Aina was super communicative and helped me even coordinate transfers from the airport and to other destinations at the best rates since I booked the tour. The team truly provides an all-encompassing service and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have an unforgettable experience in Namibia!

5.00We just finished an unforgettable trip to Namibia. Wonderful experience thanks to the beauty and charm of the places visited but above all for the perfect organization of People and Safari tour and for the guide who accompanied us on the trip: Fanuel. Precise, prepared, attentive Fanuel took us to see magical Namibia driving over 2000 km. The trip was wonderful also thanks to his great professionalism and availability. Fanuel has fulfilled our every wish and need cuddling us throughout the journey. Even Aina and Alby from the base office followed us and helped us organize the trip ... what about perfect! And Namibia wonderful.... To leave our hearts!

5.00ナミブ砂漠のDuneに登って夕日や朝日を見ました。とてもすごい世界で表現する言葉がありません。国立公園の中のロッヂもとても良かったです。 ツアーガイドがとても親切で、おもてなしの心もあり、おかげさまでとても楽しく過ごせました。うまく言葉で言い表せませんが、とにかく家族や友人にここへ行くことをすすめています。私も次回は家族を連れて、また行きたいと思っています。その時はこのツアー会社にまた頼もうと思います。とても親切に対応してくれましたし、ガイドが最高でしたから。 I enjoyed the tour "5-day Sossusvlei & Coast". "Dune45" with sunset and "BigDuddly" with sunrise were grateful for the stunning views. I enjoyed activities like "Quad Bike" and "Sandwich Harbour". The accommodation in the national park was also brilliant. My guide is not only a professional guide but also kind, friendly, reliable, and good-hearted. And I like his driving manner. I enjoyed the tour a lot thanks to him. I had a great time in Namibia. I would like to come back there with my family, and then I'll certainly ask "People Tours And Safaris" again.

Leonard and Berlinda worked with me on a couple customizations of my tour and scheduling extra activities. Was absolutely outstanding and a great experience.

5.00The tour is well organized, perfectly curated, logistics are impeccable and you couldn’t be in better hands. Saki, the tour guide, was also a very important part of the overall experience, being positive, friendly, and helpful. We even spent New Year’s Eve with him! We came back home with lots of souvenirs, experiences, adventures and a new friendship! You definitely have to book this private 5-day tour and ask for Saki to be your tour guide!
