Bucharest
Departure from your hotel at 09.00 a.m.
Targoviste
Visit the capital of Valacchia, Targoviste, known for its main princely residence of the famous Vlad The Impaler. The first fortification walls were built by Vlad’s grandfather, that is, by the great leader, Mircea the Oldest, who was Prince of Valacchia between the end of the 14th and the beginning of the 15th century, an important figure in Romania’s history. On the contrary, Vlad Dracula built the famous Chindia Tower during the 15th century , which stands out from the courtyard, imposing and beautiful, because it is perfectly preserved.
Curtea de Arges
We will then go to Curtea de Arges, where it is located one of the most beautiful monasteries in the South of Romania, a place of Orthodox worship where the Romanian reigns are buried and its oriental decoration and its four towers enchant the visitor.
Sibiu
We will then leave for Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture in 2007, famous for being one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Transylvania.
We will spend the night at Alba Iulia, in a 3 * hotel.

Castelul Corvinilor
Also known as The Hunyad Castle, it is thought to be the place where Vlad Tepes was imprisoned before his depose in 1462. According to this belief, he was held hostage for seven years by John Hunyadi, Hungary's then regent and military leader. The castle is located near the cities of Deva and Hunedoara, within the historic region of Transylvania, in its south western side, belonging to the county of Hunedoara. Its foundation was laid out by John Hunyadi (Iancu de Hunedoara) in a Gothic architectural style which encompasses Renaissance elements. It is viewed as the most imposing and resplendent castle in Transylvania. John Hunyadi reinforced the monument to make it safer and stronger in the event of an attack or battle, however he also transformed it visually, modifying the decorative elements of the halls and guest rooms and the towers. The castle features towers which are tall and mighty, ideal for defensive tactics and strategies, inner yards and a drawbridge. The wall is double to prevent any possible damage during or in the event of an attack. Corvin's Castle is an impressive tourist attraction, abundant in historic relevance and architectural pulchritude and it would be a pity to visit its sites and not delve into its mysteries, legends and offerings. Visit each room of the castle and analyse the outer and inner decorative elements and fortifications. A stunning castle of Transylvania and the most amazing Gothic-style castle of Romania.
Cetatea Alba Iulia
Stoll in the old town along the wide, tree-lined streets of the Habsburg citadel, one of the most impressive in Europe, to discover the historical, cultural and architectural places of interest of Alba Iulia: the Roman Catholic Cathedral – the oldest and most valuable monument of architecture in Transylvania., the Batthyaneum Library, the Orthodox Cathedral of the Reunification, the Babilon Building – housing the National Museum of Unification, the Union Hall, the Apor Palace, the Princely Palace, and the University of Alba Iulia.

With a mix of medieval landmarks, architectural jewels and trendy urban hotspots, Cluj is a laid-back city where people enjoy life at a slower pace than in the capital Bucharest.
Bistrita
We will go to Bistrita, one of the seven fortified cities that Tuscan Andrea Gromo, in the 16th century, defined as the most beautiful city in Transylvania. But Bistrita is famous for being the true land of Dracula. In Bistrita overnighted also Jonathan Harker in the book of Bram Stoker.

The castle was beautifully designed by a Czech architect, and is famous for being one of the most modern castles in Europe at the time of its construction, between the 19th and 20th centuries. Each room is characterized by a unique style, different from the styles of the other rooms. Our guide, Mathias, was fantastic from start to finish. We encountered bad weather and some traffic issues and he drove bravely and safely the entire time. We are so grateful we booked this trip seeing what Mathias had to go through to get us safely to our tremendous destinations. Each trip stop was greatly enhanced by Mathias's stories and history. We booked the 5-day Dracula Legends tour. Our interest in Dracula was not our main intent, but to truly see the best of the TRansylvain region, this tour was perfect. We were so exhausted every night with beautiful sights and fascinating history. Each accomodation was unique and adequate. Romania does not seem to provide water kettles in the rooms so that was a challenge for us coffee lovers. The Dracula theme hotel was creepy funny. The best part was not having to worry about anything on this tour as we were clearly in good hands with our guide. Highly recomend this experience to everyone!

Romania is a beautiful country which offers plenty of sightseeing. We enjoyed the nature, scenery, structures, palaces, churches, food and above all the legend of dracula, which is the highlight of this tour. This tour really focuses on the legend itself, blended with history and culture. I travelled with a small group of two elderly and two children, five in total between 4th and 11th September 2018. The tour was expertly set and fit for everyone with plenty to see and do. At first I thought it was going to be challenging, having to change hotels every day and with the amount of travel it entails, but it was all very comfortable and easily manageable. We have stayed in 6 different hotels, all of which were very comfortable and offered us a good service. Some were excellent, others very good. The themed hotels were a must-do, obviously one has to consider the theme of the tour and not expect any superior luxury in these specific hotels, after all they are themed! My kids enjoyed the Castel Dracula and the House of Dracula most due to their locations and the decor of these two hotels. The locations visited were beautiful, palaces, churches, mountains, cities, old towns ... you name it, Romania has it. The food was also delicious. We ate in different places every day and we loved trying different Romanian dishes every time. Food was very good and prices extremely reasonable. All the above, altogether made our holiday exceptional, but what made it so very special was our Tour Guide. We were extremely lucky to meet a person who went out of his way to make our time in Romania an unforgettable experience. George Panica, Trip2Ro was our driver, our guide, our aide, who spent the week with us and helped us in all possible ways. He drove us to the locations, was patient enough to cater for two elderly and two children (two extremes), skipped queues to get us tickets, shared information and history of the place wherever we went and suggested excellent restaurants where we dined every single day. He then went out of his way to help us with luggage during our daily transfers, made special arrangements for my kids to experience more fun stuff, he surprised us with a couple of beautiful photos, he was patient with my parents as on occasions they were very slow ... one does not meet a person like George every day and I have no words to thank him enough. I highly recommend Romania to those who would love to experience an excellent holiday and especially this specific tour to dracula lovers!

I would definitely recommend this tour - a great way to see Romania, especially on your first visit. Our guide was Paul who was very accommodating, knowledgeable and a terrific driver. We got to see everything we wanted, plus more. The hotels were all very different from modern to historical and the locations were great so that when our tour ended for the day, we could walk around the city on our own. The least favourite site was Lake Saganov Monastary cost 15Lei per person and there was virtually nothing to see inside. The favourite town was Brasov - lots of activity and restaurants. The best hotel was Hotel Transylvania in Aba Iulia. The favourite meal for ambiance not the food was in the torture chamber of the Hotel House of Dracula 4 Star, a replica of Dracula's Castle. Peles Castle was our favourite castle very busy though and we only found a 1-person washroom so there was a very large line-up. When in Romania try a Hungarian Kurtos-Kolac - covered in nuts or sugar/cinnamon - they are found at many stands throughout.
