The typical start time for your first safari day is 7:30 AM. Our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or another location as agreed. By 10:00 AM, you will reach Tarangire and start your first game-drive!

The legendary Ngorongoro Crater! Here you will witness tens of thousands of wild animals living in the massive crater left by a huge ancient volcano. The actual crater is relatively small, when you consider that it is home to the most variety of animals per square meter than anywhere else in the world! Here, you are sure to see a great number of animals within close proximity to one another. The descent into the crater will take about half an hour of driving. The road passes through beautiful, lush forests with great scenery. After your morning game drive around the crater, you will stop at the picnic area next to Lake Magadi for a snack and rest. One of the draws of Lake Magadi are the hippos that live in the area. You’re sure to enjoy watching them while you eat lunch. Due to the large number of animals and endemic plants, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned for its natural significance in the world.

After breakfast, you will start the safari by being transferred to the central part of the Serengeti, known as Seronera. Here your driver will try to find the animals you're the most interested in. Closer to lunchtime you can visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, where you will be offered a lunchbox and provided with lots of interesting information not only about the animals’ populations, but also about the history of the National Park. Also, in this area you will be able to see hyraxes, which are the elephant's closest relatives. Alternatively, we also recommend getting back to your camp for a quick lunch and nap before restarting the safari before sunset to enjoy the golden hour. Serengeti wildlife numbers in thousands: elephants, buffalo, ostriches, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, lions, antelopes, leopards, and cheetahs—just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the nature around you.

Today is your final day in central Serengeti. Each day in the savannah brings new and exciting experiences. The lazy lions of yesterday might be on the prowl, and curious elephants may approach. You might even spot a cheetah atop your safari car! This is also a great opportunity to see the famous Kopjes—picturesque volcanic rock formations that provide excellent photo opportunities as animals rest in their shade. Don't miss Simba Rock, the real-life inspiration for the iconic scene in "The Lion King" where Mufasa presents baby Simba. See the very rock that inspired the beloved cartoon!

Another day to enjoy the vast plains of Serengeti! This park is a huge space, brimming with life. It is impossible to view it all in one day; today, your guide will show you new places and interesting animals, so that you can get a full perspective. The Serengeti is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, chosen because of its important ecosystem, the dense population of animals and the annual Great Migration. Serengeti was the inspiration for Disney’s “Lion King” feature film, but life here is not a cartoon - it is pure, wild and beautiful. By dinner, you'll reach your hotel in Arusha (alternative drop off points are possible upon request).

5.00We booked a 4.5 day safari with Altezza as a cooperation with and through the dive center Afro Divers on Pemba and were very enthusiastic. From pick-up to drop-off everything was well organized. Our driver/guide Anold has guided us through the Tarangire, Ngorogoro and Serengeti National Parks, despite sometimes difficult road conditions (other vehicles have got stuck). As a private safari there were only two of us in the vehicle and accordingly had a lot of space and everything was adapted to our wishes. The vehicle was also quite new, comfortable and equipped with everything it needs for a longer time in the car (Wifi, fridge, AC, normal and USB sockets). Due to a small misunderstanding we ended up in a “wrong” camp for one night, which was completely new and very good. If we were to travel to Tanzania again for a safari, we would probably do this again with Altezza.

The expert, reliable, detail-oriented, care and people-centered approach of your staff throughout the planning, coordinating and executing of my safari made the experience exceed my expectations! Special mention must be given to my travel manager, Victoria, who worked diligently with me to develop the best safari itinerary for my budget. My safari guide, Stephen, who ensured that my friends and I were safe, comfortable and well-cared for. His knowledge of the Conservation Areas and the National Park and his 20/20 vision allowed us to identify over 67 different species of animals, including the Big 5, which we spotted in two days! I must, also, acknowledge the Altezza Support Team, who checked in daily to ensure that our experience was satisfactory and to provide necessary updates regarding flights and other important information. As promised, Altezza Travel provided a safari adventure of a lifetime! Cheers to more future adventures with Altezza Travel.

5.00My family did a 5 day private safari experience (Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park) and then flew to Mafia Island for another 5 days for diving, snorkeling, and to see the majestic whale sharks. We have traveled many places in the world, and this was our most treasured vacation of all time. The land safaris were spectacular, as was our guide, Rahim! I cannot recommend Altezza or Rahim highly enough! From pickup to amazing lodging to accommodating vegan diets - all was seamless. We were extremely well cared for and I would not have changed a thing. ❤️

5.00We just finished our 5 day Tanzania safari organized by Altezza travel. It was one of, if not the best trips of our lives! Our guide Joseph was professional, beyond knowledgeable and so wonderful to spend time with. Joseph has extensive knowledge of all species of animals, plants and birds. We are self proclaimed bird-nerds and Joseph was excited to show-and-tell about all the birds we saw. Joseph was aware of causing any disturbance to any animals and never crossed the line which we appreciate. We cannot recommend him enough. He was absolutely wonderful. We've already recommended Altezza and Joseph to friends who are booking trips. The coordinator Stacy was also amazing to deal with. Everything was smooth and the accommodations were so nice! Thank you Altezza, Stacy and Joseph for the trip of a lifetime!!

5.00Thank you, Altezza — especially Maria and Julia — for the excellent communication and smooth booking process. We booked a five-day safari starting in Tarangire National Park, continuing to the Ngorongoro Crater, and ending in Serengeti National Park. A special thank-you to our guide, Anold, who showed us the best of Tanzania’s wildlife, nature, and culture. He was highly knowledgeable, respectful toward both animals and people, and always found great viewing spots without disturbing the wildlife. Over five amazing days, we saw an incredible number of animals. We were also very happy with the lodge recommendations. The staff were warm and welcoming, and our stay at Sueños de Africa was unforgettable — zebras grazing at sunset near the tents and the sounds of wildlife at night made it a truly authentic safari experience.

5.00I need to write a second review about Safari experience (after the review about Kilimanjaro 6 days that I posted few days ago ) : the high competence and professionality of Altezza travel were definitely confirmed.. Everything was perfect from the Safari to the accommodation, customer care, punctuality, assistance for any possible issue .. the guide /driver Cathbert was so good !… and so patient!!..(I asked him to start the Safari every morning very early and he was always ready earlier than me waiting at the car with a big smile).. I will miss this so much one of my dreams was to see the great migration .. it became true and was unforgettable ! Thanks Cathbert and Altezza to make it true!!❤️

5.00Had an awesome time visiting Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Sheer number and variety of animals was amazing. Lodges/resorts were very nice. Paschal, our driver/guide was fantastic! Spent 10-11 hours most days while on safari. Company easy to deal with. Reasonable price for the experience we had.

5.00We had the best time in Tanzania with Altezza travel. Hands down the best tour experience. Their planning and execution were absolutely perfect! Before the trip: At every step they checked with what we wanted to do, where we wanted to stay, our dietary preferences and delivered a 100% on all fronts. They were so professional with excellent communications throughout. The entire process was so well organised. Their pick of hotel/ camp/ lodge stays were all amazing. During the trip: We had Altezza's team waiting for us at every step of the way and ahead of time. Their guides were excellent and very professional. Every car we went in was well maintained and felt safe. Our main guide who took us on the safari,Joyful, had over 40 years of experience and could spot animals at all distances, shared so much information about them, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The car had wifi, a mini fridge that was stocked up, wipes, and was spotlessly clean. He was an absolutely delight to spend time with and was so knowledgable. The food arranged for as part of the safari was extremely good and had lot of options. We felt safe and so well taken care of through the entire experience. Post trip: Even post trip Altezza was so helpful as we had some questions about some things and they were extremely responsive and helpful Overall: Highly recommend Altezza. They are professional. helpful, and really care about their customers. We have recommended Altezza to all of our friends and families.
