  We had an amazing trip to the Ohman Valley to visit all the tribes. Ebeneezer, our Guide and Obama our driver we're absolutely fantastic. Once in a lifetime experience that we truly enjoyed.   This experience was excellent. It was less about food and more about learning about the local tribes and culture, which we could never have arranged by ourselves. Our guide explained many things about the communities and traditions, which made the visit much more meaningful. The guide and driver were both very kind, helpful, and professional throughout the trip. Highly recommended if you want a deeper cultural experience in this region.

  Our recent family trip to ethiopia with dabakil depression Travels was an absolutely wonderful experience! Everything was well-organized, from the accommodations to the sightseeing. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Ethiopia without any hassles.   Good communication via WhatsApp before the tour. My guide Abey and the driver for the Omo Valley were very nice and helpful. I can highly recommend them. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see a bull fight ….guess there were none during my time there and the Mursi tribe was changed to a different tribe for safety. A lovely touch was the birthday celebration in the tribal village. Thank you. Ethiopia is a beautiful country and visiting the Omo valley was very special. I can highly recommend it.

  Truly enjoyed my trip to Omo Valley. Abey the local guide was very helpful and informative, went the extra mile to make sure we get the best experience. • Five Days Omo Valley Excursion with Danakil Depression Tours

  Had a great experience on the 5 day Omo Valley excursion with Danakil Depression Tours. Flights from Addis Ababa roundtrip (not included in the basic tour price) were handled by Mickey. My itinerary started in Arba Minch being met by my main guide, Abey and driver, Robin. The nickname of the driver may have been Robert, but he responded to Robin just the same. There was also an additional guide for each tribal village visited. In total, the villages of six tribes (Dorze, Konso, Hamar, Karo, Aari, and Mursi) were visited. Also met individuals from the Banna tribe during stops along the drive. Was lucky to attend a Hamar bull jumping ceremony. My understanding was that the next one was to take place in another 9 days thereabouts, so it must be regarded as a bonus experience. Anyhow, Abey and Robin did a great job with everything. Both of them along with at least two village guides also used my phone camera to photograph and video the encounters and activities. This freed me up to concentrate using my primary camera, which was a major plus. My itinery had four nights accomodations Arba Minch, Turmi (2), and Jinka (last). All met my expectations for the region. Wildlife was also encountered in or near Chamo Lake and Mago National Park.   I have relied heavily on previous reviews and chose danakil depression tours o organise our 12- day tour through Ethiopia. Emails were always answered promptly and good advise given regarding different sites/ options for our itinerary. We were really taken care of from the moment we landed in Addis Ababa. Everything was meticulously planned, everything thought of and all was printed and given to us in writing. Then I think it came the greatest test when for reasons not related to the trip, we had to cut the trip short by 3/4 days and return to London last minute. Not only the response time from the agency to my emails was prompt but they did everything to make the process easy for us taking care of us until the last minute. Given that the impromptu change was due to my own unforeseen circumstances, I know danakil depression (or any other company in this circumstances) would not be legally obliged to return any money. However, the owner himself Mickey came to our hotel to refund everything that was un-spent expense for the cancelled days. What good impression I already had from planning the trip with them to the days we spent in Ethiopia with Danakil Depression tours was exponentially extrapolated to new levels of professionalism I rarely witnessed in the UK, USA or any other first world agent. I would say without reservations that these people are professional, honest and have the clients interest and well being as their top priority. We will come back to finish our trip one day and explore other parts of the country and will use them again for sure.
