We had incredible experiences with guides Pedro, Ruben, Antônio and Alfredo, and honestly, we don't know which one was the best! Just thank everyone and especially Hugo, who since the day we planned the trip, has been attentive to us at all hours! Next time, we will definitely be with them again, and we rate the Walkborder service with a 10!

My family was introduced to all the charms of Portugal by Manuel da Silva, a talented and knowledgeable guide. He brings alive Portuguese history and shares the beauty of this amazing country. We spent multiple days exploring with him and each day was more wonderful than the last. Manuel is caring, sensitive to his clients abilities and able to modify an itinerary on the fly to ensure we had a truly memorable experience. And Manuel creates an enjoyable and fun experience. His flexible approach meant that we were able to enjoy Coimbra, Conimbriga, Obidos, Batalha, Jeronimos Monastery, the beauty of Sintra within our climbing constraints, all while enjoying some beautiful off-the-beaten track spots. I highly recommend Manuel da Silva and Walkborder!

Our family decided to visit Portugal on a whim and booked flight tickets a week before departure. Not knowing anything about Portugal, we decided on a 5 day private tour and let the pros do the work for us. I found Walkborder and reached out to its CEO Hugo literally 4 days before arrival. I had a list of requirements for our guide and miraculously Hugo was able to shift his schedule to find us a guide/driver who checked off all the boxes for us. Pedro was more than perfect for our family. First and foremost, Pedro was very professional and knowledgeable but most importantly he engaged well with our teens and cared for our family's safety and comfort. Pedro was flexible and generous with his time. No request was too much. He went far and beyond his call of duty to provide us with an enjoyable vacation. If I even mentioned a restaurant or a location I wished to experience, he would make sure it would happen for me. Pedro went as far as helping us bring our luggage into the airport and making sure we were in line for the correct security line before leaving. He even followed up with me via text the next day to make sure we arrived home safely. I really can't say enough good things about Pedro. I already recommended him to friends and family since and I got home and already plan to reach out to Walkborder/Pedro for our next trip back to Portugal. Thank you Pedro and Hugo. You guys rock!

We booked a private tour and was able to meet our tour operator/guide. Our experience with Hugo Goncalves and his tour partners was one of the best we have experienced. The itinerary set up for us was perfect. We saw a lot if interesting places and certainly enjoyed all of them. Tour guide assigned to us was very courteous and accommodating was well as knowledgeable of the places we saw. We could not have asked for any more. We certainly will use Hugo’s group given the chance to return to Portugal. Note: our experience was in mid 2019. We do apologize for the late review. Nevertheless, we wanted to share our experience. We definitely recommend using Hugo and his company to other people.

Our first visit to Portugal was amazing, with a taste of wanting more. Certainly, much of our charm is due to the Service provided by Walkborder, especially to our guide, great friend Ruben. Ruben was more than a guide, he was a host, passionate about his land, culture, history, his people. Our host is a friendly subject, extremely polite, attentive and concerned with the well-being of your visitors. From our first contact with you, Hugo, your kind and quick attention to our longings gave us a clue of what would be our way to the land of our discoverers. We do matter to thank you, THANK YOU!!! A strong and tender embrace to our new friends Hugo and Ruben!

In Portugal, our choice from private tour companies was Walkborder due to the flexibly of the schedule & excellent communication from Hugo. Our guide/driver Rodrigo was excellent. Not only knowledgeable, but knows where the short cuts are and his connections in every place are good. Example; Harry Potter’s library in Porto, for me to go right up to the door with my collapsible wheelchair and view the library inside was a miracle. The library was packed but Rodrigo managed to get my wheelchair in on the ground floor. Only regrets is that I ran over his foot when I turned around at the end of the inside. Thank you Hugo & Rodrigo.

We spent wonderful days in Portugal, we count on the competence and excellent company of Rodrigo Jaques. The punctuality, knowledge of the stories of the places visited, the presteza, and the affection with which Rodrigo received us, was the big difference. Congratulations to the entire team for the services provided.
