Telc
From Cesky Krumlov we will head to Telc, a fairy tale town situated in the Moravia. The town center has been inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List in 1992 and it represents a great architectural jewel. The history of this laid-back town dates back to the 12th century but after the big fire, which hit the town in the 16th century, the whole city centre had to be renovated again. And so, a Telc Château and beautiful renaissance and baroque houses with arcades and richly decorated gables has been built at the main square.

Zelena hora - Poutni kostel sv. Jana Nepomuckeho na Zelene hore
Our first destination on day 4. to explore will be another UNESCO Wolrd Heritage site – the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk on the Zelena Hora. It is another Moravian jewel. The church was constructed in honor of St. John of Nepomuk, the Czech martyr who was drowned in the Vltava river because he refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional.
Kutna Hora
From there we will continue to another UNESCO jewel of Czechia – Kutna Hora. During our visit we will firstly visit The Sedlec Ossuary which is truly a unique and impressive bone church. The Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and St John the Baptist in Sedlec is another place to visit in Sedlec. Its construction began in 1290 and it combines the French Gothic architecture with German elements. And we will leave the best for the end: The Cathedral of St. Barbara – the symbol of Kutna Hora and the jewel of the Late Gothic. The splendor of its structure is tangible testament of the fame and riches of the silver town Kutna Hora and the deep devotion of its creators. Evening transfer to Prague.

The Czechia Tours company’s small group tour of UNESCO sites was fabulous! I saw interesting, beautiful sights that I would not have seen on my own, plus learned a comprehensive history of Czechia and the individual places we visited. This tour is an efficient way to get out into the countryside and see little-known gems. I had heard of Cesky Krumlov and Kutna Hora, but not of these other amazing places: a fully preserved Renaissance market town; a preserved Jewish ghetto dating back to the 17 th century; a farming village in the Peasant Baroque style; and a historic town in the wine-making region of Moravia. Marek, the guide, explained the history and context of each of these locations. The hotels were charming and Marek knew the best places to eat in every location. One caveat: some of the hotels did not have elevators, so be sure to let the company know in advance if you are unable to climb stairs. I can’t emphasize enough how knowledgeable, pleasant and charming Marek was. Spending 4 days in his company was delightful. It was relaxing to know that all the details had been carefully tended to and all I had to do was enjoy the wonderful land of Czechia. Highly recommended!!

My wife and I recently completed the Czechia UNESCO Tour (7 Sites in 6 Days) on September 26 2025, and we were absolutely thrilled with our guide, Michal. He was the definitive highlight of our journey. Michal possesses deep, genuine expertise on every site, from the spectacular Prague Castle complex to the beautiful medieval streets of Cesky Krumlov, and the Moravian jewels like Telč and Třebíč. His knowledge of history and architecture was truly impressive, but what set him apart was his warm, engaging personality and commitment to making our small group experience perfect. Beyond his guiding prowess, Michal is a truly talented individual—a singer in the local cappella band Skety. This personal passion added such a wonderful, human dimension to the tour. Hearing about his life and connection to the Czech culture truly enriched our understanding of the places we visited. It was clear that he wasn't just reciting facts; he was sharing his home with us. We highly recommend requesting Michal. He is an outstanding professional who offers an unforgettable experience, combining world-class guidance with personal charm and local insight. Thank you, Michal, for making our trip so memorable!
