It's a great trip for those, who wants to see and experience Galapagos but don't want to spend a fortune and don't want to organise every activity for yourself. The itinerary is well planned, you can see all the most importants things in Isabella and Santa Cruz, however a little bit intensive. Takiri was great, they were nice and spoke well in English. You don't join for a fix group, every activity is separate with separate guide and group of people.

Our experience in Galapagos was spectacular, every day was a challenge and many anecdotes to remember. There are so many things that are new and depend on the way they are done on these islands, that for a first time (we will be back for more) Alex and Kevin's coordination made our visit easier.

The 6-day Takiri Galapagos on a budget trip was fantastic and well worth the price. My partner and I really enjoyed the well-managed experience with the Takiri staff holding our hands through the entire travel process. For a couple who has never done a trip quite like this before, it was very helpful and removed a lot of the burden involved with a trip like this. The activities were fantastic! From the volcano hike and snorkeling in the Tunnels to the breeding center and darwin research plaza, activities were engaging and worth the time. While we decided to skip the last activity in our 6-day trip in favor of exploring the town and beaches of Santa Cruz island, we really appreciated how well managed our time was throughout the duration of the trip. Hotel accommodations and food provided were satisfactory and did not hinder our experience whatsoever. Last but not least, Takiri staff, tour guides, hotel staff, and locals are all very friendly and welcoming. I absolutely would recommend this trip to all those interested. If you have more time or budget available, the other groups we came across spoke highly of the 8-day trip as well.

Takiri selected a nice variety of experiences for us. Snorkeling at Tuneles was the best! We snorkeled two other days as well. The hike up Volcan Sierra Negra was challenging (10 mile round trip), but was worth it for understanding the formation of the islands. Only glitch was a change in plans (7:30am pickup instead of 11am) that was sent after 9pm the night before. The other couple didn't get the word and I had to wake them up at 7am and tell them myself.

The tour company used by Viator, Takiri, was excellent. They managed all the excursions well and always on time. We felt the hotel accommodation were comfort and the people working for there were helpful. However, We were disappointed in the accommodation arrangement. Before booking with we asked the customer service representative at Viator the question on “hotel arrangements” and were told we would have our own room. I also called on January 25, 2023 and was told by a customer service representative working for Viator that we would each have a single room. I received a letter from a Takiri representative on Jan. 31 explaining the accommodation arrangements, which was 1 room and 3 beds. I questioned the accommodation and was told Takiri changed the single supplement policy for accommodation the beginning of 2023. Obviously we were misinformed and Viator was not made aware of this change. It would not have been a concern if we were given the correct information in advance instead of finding out just before we left for the trip. Other than the accommodation the trip was great and I would recommend it.

This tour company is great! Customized a great itinerary for a great value. Easy communication and always had someone to be in touch with 24/7 for any assistance (advice , logistical issues, etc..) all the accommodations were very comfortable and in the main locations with in distance everywhere. Thank so much takiri I will cherish and remember my stay in Ecuador and the gallops for a lifetime.

The best part, to me, was that I did not have to worry with logistics. Yes, you can book the tours yourself at the islands or thru a website. However, then you have to get to the tour starting point, arrange transportation back to your hotel, etc. Takiri Travel took care of EVERYTHING!! From the minute I landed at the Baltra airport until I was back to the airport, a guide was with me to assist. I could just enjoy the Galapagos Islands, see a lot of different animals and plants, and take a lot of pictures. Alex was always a whatsapp message away and responded to any question within minutes. I highly recommend Takiri Travel to anybody who wants a "no hassle", "no worry" holiday to the Galapagos.

Please let me explain the title. First of all, all the best things that need to be mentioned: The organization was very good, everything always worked out wonderfully. But what I didn't realize - and here we start with the (for me) not so good things. It was not a group tour, you do this 6-day tour alone. On the booked excursions, you are always with others. But these people change all the time. To cut a long story short: all transport, accommodation and tours are booked for you, but you do the 6-day tour (still) alone. As I was travelling alone, this was a big downside for me. I wanted to spend these 6 days in a group. In my opinion, this should be described in more detail, because I would not have booked the tour if I had known. I also find the statement that it is a 6-day tour a bit exaggerated. The first day (of the 6 days) includes pick-up from the airport, lunch and then the ferry crossing to Isabela Island. It can be counted as a tour day, but strictly speaking, it is just an 'arrival'. This is followed by 4 days of touring. The last day of the 6-day tour is (only) the return transfer to the airport. I definitely don't see that as a tour day!!! Conclusion: if you don't want to spend the days on the Galápagos with individual planning and have no problems doing this tour alone or with your Partner/Friend - then it fits. Just keep in mind that it's not really a 6-day tour, and you don't see too much of Galápagos. 3 days on Isabela Island and one day in Santa Cruz. I had expected much more from this tour. And please delete the word 'budget' from the headline. If I had booked everything myself, it would have been a lot cheaper. The only advantage for the money I paid was the convenience of having everything booked and organized. Nevertheless, you are passed from person to person.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. For the price I piad, the trip was well organized and hit everything I wanted to see and do! Everyone spoke excellent English and was super friendly. The tour did have a big focus on seeing Galapagos tortoises, and that was the only thing I would've been okay seeing less of. The hotels I stayed in were nice and clean (WiFi wasn't great, but you can't expect much on the islands) and the staff was friendly. They have people to pick you up and drop you off to and from your flights so it was one less thing to worry about.

Takiri Travel put together a diverse, interesting and fun six day package for myself and a friend. Most days consisted of a morning activity, lunch, and then afternoon activity. We snorkled with turtles, a zillion colorful fishes and even some small sharks. Kayaked to mini volcanic islands and saw penguins and enormous pelicans. Hiked near the shore and saw the blue footed boobies doing their mating dance. Organizers put together groups of up to about a dozen people for the various outings. Very fun. Bring strong sunscreen!
