Hraunfossar Lava Waterfall
You visit now two beautiful waterfalls: Hraunfossar and Barnafoss which just a few meters apart. While Hraunfoss waterfall is composed of trickling rivulets coming through the vegetation on a large portion of the river bed, Barnafoss or children waterfall is a powerful gust of water which emerges through a lava opening.
Barnafoss
Nearby Hraunfoss is located Barnafoss or children waterfall. Barnafoss is a powerful gust of water that emerges through a lava opening.
Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring
You stop at Deildartunguhver, Europe's largest hot spring located in Reykjadalur or the "valley of smoke. "From a safe distance, you see massive bubbles formation in the 97°C water and feel the generated heat on your face.
Krauma
You finish the day in the geothermal waters of the Krauma Spa before heading to the campsite. Adjacent to Deildartunguhver, the facility has four pools fed with a constant and natural geothermal water flow. The site does not use chemicals to maintain its water quality as nature provides what is needed.
Freezer hostel campsite - Hafnargötu 16, 360 Hellissandi - 15 mins driving from Saxhóll Crater, last stop of the day
Glanni Waterfall
You might like to take a little detour to visit the small but picturesque Glanni waterfall before heading to west. The waterfall takes its name (shinning) after the contrast created from the “whiteness” of the tumbling water against the surrounding lava rocks.
Ytri Tunga Beach
You visit this charming and seclusive beach which is among Snæfellsnes gems! Away from the touristic flow, Ytri Tunga is know for being a spot where seals come and rest every now and then.
Budakirkja
You make a short stop at Búdir church which is among the three black churches in Iceland, making it an extremely sough spot by photographers. A little further, you find Búdir hotel from where every once and a while seals can be spotted in the sea.

Gatklettur or hole in the cliff, is an arch in the stone carved out by erosion. The site makes a perfect spot for fantastic pictures and it takes around 2 hours (round trip) for this visit.
Vatnshellir Lava Cave
At 2 PM, you explore an 8000-year-old lava tube located 32 meters under the ground! This is truly a fantastic lava formation where robust flows created an anti-chamber accessible by spiral stairs. Equipped by helmet and head-light, you descend deep under the surface.
Djúpalónssandur is a black pebble beach where long ago sailors were selected right on the spot. Men´s strenght was tested by lifting big rocks (23 to 155 kg) and heavy drifted wood logs and carry or throw them as far as possible. Today, we can still see the rocks and many logs on the shore together with the remainder of rusty shipwreck. The site is kept untouched to truly connect with history.
You might like to end the day with a visit of Saxhóll volcanique crater. Led by wooden steps along the way, you reach the 100 meters deep crater after a nice and easy walk. From there, you have a fantastic view on the sea, the lava fields and on a clear day, on Reykjavík on the horizon!

Svodufoss

Stykkishólmur is a charming fishing village renowned for fresh and succulent fish dishes. Make sure to visit Súgandisey Island and its lighthouse before going to your next stop. The harbor connects with the island by road, and you can walk up the mount from which the view is spectacular.
You next visit Gerduberg cliff on your way to Þingvellir. Gerduberg is partially composed of 14 meters high basalt columns which are strangely geometrically symmetric!
You might like to visit Eldborg crater or the fortress of fire which is accessible after 45 -50 minutes hike (one way). From the top, you can other craters in the vicinity.
Pingvellir National Park
Þingvellir National Park is the first point of the famous Golden Circle route. This is not only a geological marvel where Öxará waterfall (or Öxarárfoss) and Silfra Fissure were born out of the continental drift, splitting the earth‘s crust at various locations but it is also an important historical and political site. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage. Note that the park´s visit is free, however, you have to pay a Parking fee, which is not included in the tour´s price.

Reynisfjara Beach
Next, you visit the well-renowned Reynisfjall cliff on Reynisfjara beach. The basalt columns of the cliff wall provide a unique atmosphere to the site. You may like to sit on some of them and gaze away at the three basalt rock formations standing out of the Atlantic Sea. Rumor has it that they are the remains of trolls who wanted to reach the shore but got caught by daylight, which transformed them instantly.
Lava Show - Vik
At 1.30 PM, you go at the Icelandic Lava Show where you witness and experience safely real running hot lava flowing through a mimic volcanic eruption.
Magic Ice
You now drive back to Reykjavík where you visit an ice museum and ice bar at 6.00 PM! Be sure to leave the south coast in time to reach the capital where you end the day with the famous hot and cold contrast that symbolizes Iceland!
Hallgrimskirkja
Hallgrimskirkja church is located close to downtown Reykjavik and the famous Rainbow Street. We rented a van, the Easy Clever 4x4 EXP, for two people. We toured the south and east of Iceland (6 days). It was a great decision to do the tour by van as it has allowed us to modify our planning according to what we wanted at home at the time. The van was in good condition and gave us no problem, despite being a little older and having more kilometers than others that are rented. They have the possibility of picking up the van outside of customer service hours, and arriving our flight late was what we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing we think would improve the experience is that they had 24h pickup service to the airport, as we had to take a taxi on arrival.

I highly recommend Camp Easy! My husband and I spent 6 days/5 nights in the Easy Ranger 4X4. Camp Easy thinks of everything you may need/want and if they don’t offer it, they tell you the best place to find it! Íris was amazing and treated my husband and I like family. Everything about our experience with Camp Easy was beyond fantastic! Check in/out is smooth and the free airport transfers are so convenient!

We chose CampEasy and the Easy Viking 4x4 for our 8 day round trip on Iceland and were completely satisfied overall: the booking, the airport pickup, the check in at CampEasy, the support during the tour (I had some questions as it was our first tour in a camper van at almost 60 , which were always answered very quickly) and also the check out went very relaxed, friendly , competent and professional overall. We really liked the Easy Viking, and more than met our expectations. We are already looking forward to the next Iceland tour, which we will definitely book again at CampEasy.
