Walk along the narrow “Siq”, the high-walled fissure in the rocks that winds into the heart of the city. Then, stop in your tracks at your first breathtaking glimpse of the Treasury, known locally as “El-Khazneh” - Petra’s stellar sight. Wonder at its intricate façade and hear how movies such as Indiana Jones, the Transformers, and the Last Crusade were filmed here.

Take photos of this glorious monument and then continue your tour. See Petra’s ornate tombs cut into the rock face, and admire the stunning theater that once sat 3,000 spectators. As you walk, visit the Byzantine church and hear stories as well as facts about the ingenious Nabateans who chose, carved out, and then made this place their home so long ago. Free time to explore and walk up the Monastery or the High Place of Sacrifice, if time permits. You may also visit The Petra Museum, if there is time. Return to your hotel in Petra. 5.00From the moment we started this adventure, I knew it would be special... but I never imagined it would exceed all my expectations. Petra is already a magical place on its own, but to walk it with someone who not only knows every corner, every story and every secret, but also does it with passion and warmth, makes it a transformative experience. My friend and guide was more than that: he was a traveling companion, an amazing storyteller, a patient (and creative!) photographer, and a person who genuinely cared about making every moment memorable. Thanks to him I knew not only the majesty of the Treasury and the Monastery, but also the living essence of Jordan, its culture, its people and its landscapes. We climbed mountains, laughed, shared Bedouin teas and left with a full heart. If you are thinking of visiting Petra, don’t hesitate: do it with someone who really loves this place and will pass it on at every step. Thank you for giving me the best trip of my life!

The highlight of the trip was definitely our driver, Mohammad Masoud. He was not only professional and punctual, but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. 5.00My husband and I took a private 6 night custom tour to Jordan and had a fantastic trip ! We spent 2 nights in Amman, saw Mount Nebo , Jerash and Madaba and one night each in Wadi Rum , Aqaba, Petra ,and the Dead Sea I can not speak highly enough of our amazing driver/guide/friend Hassan he was the best! Very professional , extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind, interesting , with a sense of humor and he spoke excellent English. We so enjoyed our trip I wish we had stayed a few days more …..The country is filled with ancient Biblical history and is so stunningly beautiful… the sunsets from Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea were exquisite! Carol the owner of Zaid Tours and travel was quick to answer my many questions prior to our trip. We felt very well looked after both before and during our tour . I have explored 124 countries mostly independently but occasionally with a driver/guide ( Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Tibet) and our tour in Jordan was excellent mostly because of our excellent guide Hassan. Thank you Zaid tours and Hassan for a most wonderful time in Jordan !

5.00What an amazing experience this was! One of our favorite countries as of yet! My wife and I are traveling the world and decided to do this guided tour for Jordan, and it was incredibly fun, safe, and accommodating. All of the hotels and accommodations were clean and comfortable, even in Wadi Rum. We were well taken care of, and one of the highlights of our tour was Firas, our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, spoke english very well, and took us to some of his favorite places to eat and introduced us to a lot of local foods and delicacies. We felt 6 days was the sweet spot, and we left Jordan very pleased with the itinerary. All of the transportation was on time, with excellent vehicles, and they even went as far as arranging the visas and pick up from inside the terminal at the airport. overall 10/10!!!

5.00This trip to Jordan, from start to finish was a peak lifetime experience, thanks to the professionalism of each person we worked with at Zaid Tours. From my first encounter booking the tour until my last good-bye, I could not have asked for better communication or guidance. Safinaz was prompt in her response to email enquiries. A representative met us at the airport in Ammon upon our arrival and facilitated the process of obtaining our Jordan visitor visa and transportation to our hotel. The following day we met our driver Firaz. We were together with him and another couple for the course of our trip in Jordan. Our respect and fondness for Firaz grew each day. He was professional, skilled, kind and respectful. He was also very funny and open about his life, which allowed us to get to know him as a person. Generous of his time and flexible, he offered suggestions on how to maximize our time based on our expressed interests and his knowledge. We got to stay in Wadi Rum overnight because of his ability to navigate last minute changes in accommodations and tours. He even arranged for a surprise birthday cake with candles for my birthday. The sites of Jordan are amazing and unforgettable. So also are its people. I am forever grateful to Firaz for making our trip so extra special.
