Lots of variety and excellent tour guide Cathal, who was informative and flexible, added stops for points of interest, even joined us for a trivia competition. Highlights for us: enjoyed the kayaking in Dingle Bay and the hike on Croagh Patrick, the most active excursions. Don't be shy about trying the kayaks, the wetsuits are warm and comfortable. Other excursions (biking and walking) were mostly only moderate exertion. And of course participation is flexible. Hotels were overall good to excellent. Least favorite was Blue Haven hotel, which was still OK, just had an intermittent motor somewhere in the building. It rains briefly but often in Ireland, so be prepared with waterproof hiking boots and a light raincoat that you'll put on and take off on demand. Dress in layers. Great trip overall.

My spouse booked our tour through TourRadar and they used Overland Ireland as the local affiliate. Our 7 day tour with guide extraordinaire, Pat O Mara, far exceeded our expectations. Pat was engaging, knowledgeable, easygoing, reliable and a sheer delight. We would do another Overland Ireland tour without reservation and choose Pat for another week of exploration and discovery!

What a wonderful trip! Great group and pacing with relatively short drive segments, lots of stops and great history and geography lessons from our inspired guide and driver, Patrick O’Mara. If you have the option of getting on one of Pat’ s tours, you will laugh, learn a lot and know that you are very well cared for! Every hotel was superb and the food even at stops was fresh, often local and very tasty. We had some lovely walks and experienced the Irish weather in all its glory. Several very interesting museums and manor house tours, plus biking and kayaking! Evenings in the pubs in little and bigger towns were a highlight with Irish music and so many stories, AND a chance to sample all variety of dark and light ales, and of course Guinness and whiskey. My wife and I can’t recommend this group too highly. They set the bar really high!!

Overland Ireland put together a top-notch itinerary that was the perfect complement of historical destinations and locations showing the natural beauty of Ireland. The tour was structured enough to cover a lot of ground but also gave us flexibility later in the day to relax and do whatever we wanted in each of the towns that we stayed. The choice of hotels was excellent, and the morning meals were perfect to get us through to dinner. Best of all was our tour guide Jimmy Murphy who did an outstanding job getting us to each location safely. He was very professional and informative but most of all he was a great person and quickly became a good friend in the short period of time we had with him. The small group option was great because we had a smaller vehicle which could access areas that larger tour busses couldn't get to, and it was very comfortable. Overall great tour and I highly recommend for anyone, especially anyone visiting Ireland for the first time.
