Lusaka

Upon arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, you will be transferred to Lukasa Guest House, conveniently located on the outskirts of Lusaka, offering a peaceful retreat after your trip. On the way, we will drive through the bustling streets of Lusaka City, taking in the sights, sounds, and local atmosphere of Zambia’s capital. A visit to the Lusaka International Museum provides a fascinating glimpse into the country’s history, culture, and heritage. After the tour, you will settle into your comfortable accommodations at Lukasa Guest House, where you can relax and unwind. Dinner at the on-site restaurant is available at your own cost, allowing you the freedom to choose from a variety of local and international dishes while enjoying the serene surroundings of the guest house.

Lower Zambezi National Park

After breakfast in Lusaka, we depart and begin our scenic drive to the Lower Zambezi National Park, passing through rolling landscapes, rural villages, and lush riverine scenery along the way. Upon arrival at the park, we settle into our lodge, taking time to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the Zambezi River. In the late afternoon, we head out on a guided sunset game drive, exploring the park’s diverse habitats in search of elephants, buffalo, antelope, and other wildlife. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky is painted with vibrant colors, creating a stunning backdrop for photography and wildlife viewing. Returning to the lodge, we enjoy dinner under the stars, reflecting on the day’s adventure and the natural beauty of one of Zambia’s premier wildlife destinations.

Lower Zambezi National Park

The day begins early with a morning game drive in the Lower Zambezi National Park, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you explore the riverine woodlands, floodplains, and open savannahs in search of elephants, buffalo, hippos, and a variety of antelope, as well as the chance to spot predators like lions and leopards. After returning to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast and some relaxation, the adventure continues with an afternoon game drive. This provides a different perspective of the park, as animals become more active again in the late afternoon. Along the way, you may enjoy birdwatching, photography, and the serene beauty of the Zambezi River, before returning to the lodge for dinner and an evening under the stars.

Lower Zambezi National Park

At first light, you’ll head out on a morning game drive when the park is at its most active. Expect to see predators returning from the hunt, large herds of elephant and buffalo moving through the plains, and graceful giraffes browsing the treetops. Your guide will help spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife, all against the soft glow of sunrise. After lunch and a short rest, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive as the landscape warms and animals emerge again. Siavonga

After breakfast, we depart for Siavonga, enjoying a scenic drive toward Lake Kariba. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to view the impressive Kariba Dam, one of the world’s largest man-made dams, and learn about its history and importance. Take in sweeping views of the lake and surrounding hills, with chances to spot local fishermen and birdlife along the shoreline. Later, we head to Lotri Bay, where you will camp right on the shores of Lake Kariba. The peaceful setting offers stunning sunset views over the water and a relaxed atmosphere after the journey. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. All meals are included, allowing you to fully enjoy this tranquil lakeside experience.

Siavonga

Take in sweeping views of the lake and surrounding hills, with chances to spot local fishermen and birdlife along the shoreline. After breakfast, we depart Siavonga and begin our drive back to Lusaka. Enjoy the final views of Lake Kariba as we journey through scenic landscapes and local villages along the way. Upon arrival in Lusaka, you will be transferred to your preferred drop-off point or the airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your safari experience, leaving you with lasting memories of Zambia’s wildlife, landscapes, and warm hospitality.
