Juan and Terry allowed me to do a custom private guided tour to Cusco, Sacred Valley, 1 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and rainbow mountain. Terry kept me informed throughout the year of planning and they took care of all permits and everything. Danny , our guid, was wonderful and had a private Driver everywhere. Contact them directly to make this trip more custom. We are faster paced than most so this worked perfectly. Thank you for a fantastic Trip!

My wife and I went for our 36th Anniversary. Juan worked with us through the planning process for our 8 days there and the events we wanted to do. He was very flexible as we continued to modify the itinerary to see/do as much as possible during our brief stay. All transportation via driver, train, bus, plane, and boat was handle for us and went flawlessly. We've never done a private tour before, but felt it paid huge dividends at busy sites. Having a private guide knowledgeable on the site made the trip very educational and fascinating. In fact, we would often see other tourists listening in to pickup key tidbits. We hiked about 45 miles during the trip. We live in Colorado at 7500ft so the altitude was not much of an issue, but we could have better prepared for the climbing and descents. We enjoyed Puno and Lake Titicaca. We flew in, but in retrospect would have loved the full day mountain train ride. We spent a day going to Ica and the Huacachina Oasis to ride dune buggies. We also visited local wineries. It was a lot of fun, but the round trip cost in time made this an item we would not do again. Sacred Valley was the highlight of the tour. Absolutely great beaty, architecture, history, food, and people. On the day we visited the salt mines, we rented ATVs an rode around the country side. Besides being a blast, it provided a way to get into small villages and local communities where you could see families going through their daily routine. The views were outstanding where you wanted to stop and take photos at every turn. Our last two days included Machu Picchu and Cusco. Juan again provide expert historical context to include the why the Incas did what they did. We learned so much more having him as our guide. Freddy was an expert driver navigating traffic and always at the right spot and the right time. I can't give enough kudos to Amazing Andean Adventures and their team. Our recommendation is this is the only way to do Peru right! Thanks Juan and Team!

I usually plan the details of our travel so I was a little hesitant about doing a tour. It turned out that Amazing Andean Adventures was the perfect fit. We made a couple of tweaks to the Classic Machu Picchu trip. They have a support staff person in the US, who helped answer questions as we prepared and also kept us up to date with their scheduling. I was surprised we’d have a Guide (Juan) AND a Driver (Freddy), until I saw how people drive in the Andes! Freddy navigated the chaos of the roads expertly. The itinerary was well planned to minimize crowds and efficiently see as much as possible. On multiple occasions Freddy would drop us off with Juan and pick us up in a different place. We spent mornings and early afternoons seeing the sights. Juan taught us about history and culture, he knew the best places to take photos, and he was fun to be around. Before we split up mid-afternoon he would make recommendations for where me might want to explore and what we might want to eat the rest of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the culture, food, landscape, and people of the Andes. As a female couple, we felt very comfortable in all of the towns, at all of the lodging, and most especially with the staff of Amazing Andean Adventures and highly recommend them!

Travelling for the first time from Australia to South America, we wanted to see as much as possible with a good local host. We found Amazing Andean Adventures through the internet/web, and their luxury tour staying in good hotels with a driver and guide was appealing to us. We did not choose the Belmond option due to cost, but we did choose the other best available or 5 star hotels. Our tour package included return flights Lima-Cusco-Lima plus hotels and breakfast and one dinner. Commencing 27 January 2025, we had one night at Lima Airport, 2 nights in Sacred Valley, 1 night in Macchu Picchu Pueblo and 2 nights in Cusco. We landed in Lima and a very short walk within the airport took us to our hotel which is a typical airport hotel but quite adequate for the night. The other hotels and meals were excellent. From arrival in Cusco, we were delivered/collected at all the travel points, particularly ensuring a very easy final departure from Cusco. Our hosts and guides were Juan and Daniel with the driver Freddie in a good comfortable car. Juan and Daniel both speak excellent conversational English so communication was easy and natural. They shared a lot of knowledge about the history of the country, pre and post Spanish arrival. The many less-well known sites we visited were as impressive and interesting as Macchu Picchu itself. There were too many highlights to list. At every moment of the tour, the pace and activities were comfortable - we were so well taken care of and the organisation was precise and on-time. What a good experience and well worth spending the dollars to make these 6 days and nights so safe, comfortable and memorable. Very worthwhile trip and fantastic service and guidance from Juan, Daniel and Freddie.

Truly the trip of a lifetime. We asked Juan for a once-in-a-lifetime, first-class experience and that is exactly what he delivered. Every detail was perfect. We were accompanied by our amazing guide Danny. His love and knowledge of the Inca people, history and culture was amazing. Our driver Raul navigated expertly in his spotless, comfortable van. Every hotel was luxurious. We enjoyed the Peruvian food and a Pisco Sour to finish off our days. Taking the Hiram Bingham luxury train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu, was awesome. Juan and his team truly made our Machu Picchu adventure a dream come true!

This was a trip of a lifetime for my friends and I. Every detail was carefully planned and arranged by Juan to get the most of each experience. From transportation to hotels we truly felt at ease with each travel step. Hotels were 5 star and food was delicious. Our driver, Raul, was very skilled in the Peruvian ways of the road. We felt safe in his clean and comfortable van. Danny, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the Incan and Spanish culture and taught us so much about the way of life centuries ago. He really could take you back to the time of the grandeur of the Incan Empire. He also taught us about Pachamama, Earth Mother, and she indeed smiled down upon us on this trip.

My 18 yo daughter and I traveled with Carlos and a driver throughout the Sacred Valley in June 2022. We were nervous about doing a private tour but from the minute he met us at the Cusco airport we felt safe and comfortable. Carlos got to know our needs, interests and concerns within the first hour. He was very knowledgeable about the culture, sites, history, and made excellent recommendations for our vegetarian diets. Juan recommended the special Tour in lieu of the Luxury tour and we were not disappointed. All of our accommodations were more luxurious than we expected or needed. Carlos helped us avoid crowds and lines and made sure we got excellent photos. I cannot say enough about what a perfect trip this was. My only recommendation is to be aware of the physical demands in the sacred valley prior to going. I would love to take another trip with Amazing Andean Adventures.

Erika (our guide) and Adrian (our driver) provided my wife and I with a wonderful trip to Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. They met us at the airport upon arrival in Cusco, and got us checked into our hotel. The next day Erika provided us with a terrific tour of Cusco, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, and Pisac. They dropped us off at our Sacred Valley hotel, and then picked us up the next morning so we could visit Ollantaytambo, the terraces at Moray, and the Las Salineras Salt Mines. There happened to be a festival at Ollantaytambo on the day of our visit, causing causing unexpected restrictions on vehicle access to the city. Erika and Adrian successfully navigated through the obstacles, and got us where we needed to be with no lost time, in addition to seeing the town full of people celebrating and wearing traditional Peruvian clothing. The next day Adrian got us to the train station, and after a great trip on the Hiram Bingam, Erika met us at Machu Picchu where she escorted us on a tour of the Citadel. The next day, after asking for our preferences, Erika led us on a hike up Huchu Picchu, then to the Sun Gate, then the Inka bridge, after which we took the train back to Cusco. This was just in time for Halloween, which we learned from Erika is a very big deal in Cusco! Per her advice, we went back to the town square that evening, and saw what was like new year's eve in Times Square, but with hundreds of adorable Peruvian children in the most elaborate costumes we have ever seen. Erika and Adrian were both outstanding hosts. They were on time for each pickup, and changed the plans every time we asked. We observed that Adrian cleaned his car each day, so we had a good view of the landscape at all times. Erika's grasp of the history of the area is first rate, and she communicated that information in a very enjoyable manner. She made the trip easy for us, and inquired often about our needs and desires regarding the itinerary. The itinerary itself worked very well. The hotels were first rate, and included places (e.g. the Aranwa in the Sacred Valley) that we would never have found on our own. Terry was our contact for the initial planning for the trip, and is an excellent communicator, keeping us apprised as the trip was being planned, and answering our questions very promptly and completely. I highly recommend this company for any Peru travel. I will certainly be engaging their services for our next trip there.
