Jerash Ruins

Day 2: Amman – Jerash Start the day with a guided Amman city tour to explore the capital’s vibrant blend of modern life and rich history. Visit the Citadel, featuring remains from the Roman to early Islamic periods, and explore the Archaeological Museum, home to an impressive collection including several Dead Sea Scrolls. Stroll through the bustling Souq, experiencing local life, and continue to the 2nd-century Roman Theater, an amphitheater with 6,000 seats. In the afternoon, drive to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Known for its remarkable blend of Greco-Roman and Oriental influences, Jerash is especially beautiful in spring with its rolling hills and lush greenery. The city also hosts the annual Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts, a three-week summer celebration of music, dance, and theatrical performances. Return to Amman for overnight. Overnight in Amman.

Azraq Castels

Day 3: Eastern Jordan – Desert Castles Today, explore the fascinating Desert Castles of eastern Jordan. Begin with Qasr Amra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its zodiac dome and some of the earliest examples of Umayyad fresco paintings. Continue to the enigmatic Qasr Kharanah, a fortress whose original purpose remains a mystery. Finally, visit the striking Azraq Castle, a black basalt fort with a rich history dating back to Roman and medieval Islamic periods.

Petra

Day 4: Madaba – Mount Nebo – Al-Mujib – Shobak – Petra After breakfast, drive to Madaba to see the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine in St. George’s Church. Continue with a short drive to Mount Nebo, where Prophet Moses is believed to have gazed upon the Promised Land before his passing. Travel south along the historic King’s Way, making a brief stop at Wadi Al-Mujib, a magnificent valley known for its stunning geological formations. In Shobak, explore the ancient Crusader castle perched dramatically on a rocky conical mountain. Afterward, continue to Petra, check in to your hotel, and enjoy your evening at leisure. Wadi Rum Protected Area

Day 5: Petra – Wadi Rum Today, visit the legendary Rose Red City of Petra, Jordan’s most iconic attraction. Founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, Petra became the center of a flourishing commercial empire. Begin at the Visitor Center and pass through the dramatic Siq, a narrow gorge leading to Petra’s most stunning monument: the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Continue along the Street of Facades, explore the Theatre, and admire the Royal Tombs carved into the rose-colored cliffs. Afterward, drive approximately 1.5 hours south to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most spectacular desert landscapes. Discover the desert’s canyons, sand dunes, and Nabatean rock inscriptions, and experience traditional Bedouin life, optionally on a 4x4 jeep tour. Overnight in Wadi Rum camp.

Dead Sea

Day 6: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea In the morning, drive approximately 3.5 hours to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing by the water or taking in the hotel’s amenities. Overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 7: Departure from Jordan Your journey comes to an end today after breakfast. Check-out is usually around noon, and you are free to depart at your convenience. Transfer directly to Queen Alia International Airport for your onward flight. Time to say goodbye to Jordan, taking with you unforgettable memories of this remarkable journey.
