Travelers are required to provide photocopy of passports and China L visas at least 20 days prior to travel date.
With its much higher elevation, some visitors may experience symptoms of altitude sickness. We recommend taking everything slowly, getting plenty of rest the first day and staying very well hydrated by drinking plenty of water to minimize the effects of the high altitude. Usually you will fine by the second day, but if you do experience severe and/ or worsening symptoms, please contact your tour guide or a member of our staff immediately.

If you enter by plane from mainland China, the Tibet permit will be delivered to you before you board the flight in mainland city.
If you enter by train from mainland china, You will only need a printed copy of the Tibet permit, which you will receive from the local operator via email
If you enter Tibet from Nepal, you have to get your GROUP VISA in the Chinese embassy of Kathmandu, whether you have already Chinese visa or not.Group Visa is an A4 size sheet of paper, with all members of the tour and their passport number, date of birth and profession listed. The dates of entry and exit are precisely mentioned. To apply the Group visa, you will need an invitation letter from Tibet Tourism Bureau. After confirming the tour, you need to send us the copy of your passport and then we can apply the invitation letter with your passport copy. After getting the invitation letter, we will send it to our local stuff at Kathmandu. Then you will meet our local stuff at Kathmandu after your arrival in Kathmandu. Please do remember, you'll need at least 3 working days to apply your Group Visa.

Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa - Lhasa Airport Pick Up Upon your arrival at the Lhasa airport, your tour guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel and help you get checked in. Day 02: Lhasa City Sightseeing - Potala Palace - Jokhang Temple - Barkhor Street (B) After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the incredible Potala Palace – the highest palace in the world. Then we will move on to the spiritually significant Jokhang Temple. To see the “real” Lhasa, we’ll stroll through Barkhor Street with its thriving local market where you can pick up some local Tibetan, Nepalese and Indian handicrafts and souvenirs. Day 03: Lhasa City Sightseeing - Sera Monastery – Drepung Monastery(B) Today features visits to 2 of the most important monasteries in Tibetan Buddhism – the Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Day 04: Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake – Karola Glacier – Gyantse (Kumbum Monastery) – Shigatse (B) This morning we’ll take a drive up to the Kampala Pass (elevation 4797 meters) where you’ll have a glimpse of Yamdrok Lake down below as well as spectacular views of the holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance. You will want to have your camera at the ready for the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, which is one of the three holy lakes of Tibet, and the beautiful Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar glacier as seen from the Karola Pass. Later on we’ll be able to visit the Karola Glacier before continuing along the southern Friendship Highway to Gyantse, where you will be able to see the famous Gyantse Kumbum, one of the most stunning architectural wonders in Tibet. Late in the afternoon we will continue on to Shigatse where we will spend the night. Day 05: Shigatse – Tingri – Rongphu Monastery – Everest Base Camp (B) After breakfast, we will visit the home of Panchan Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery. Then we’ll set out towards the peak of the world – Mount Everest. Departing from Shigatse and traveling via Lhatse and Tingri, you will see some of the most beautiful and unique scenery in the world – incredibly blue skies, floating high clouds, endless grasslands and the highest mountain peaks in the world. We’ll also stop by the Rongbuk Monastery – the world’s highest altitude monastery before spending the night at the Everest Base Camp. Day 06: Everest Base Camp - Gyirong Town Early in the morning we will enjoy the sun rise on the top of Mt, Everest; After that our tour we will drive back to the main road(318 national high way) to Gyirong Town Day 07: Gyirong Town - Gyirong Border - Kathmandu In the early morning, you will cross the border - Gyirong Port, our service ends at the border.

5.00I just came back from a 7 day trip in Lhasa, Tibet and I must say I really enjoyed myself throughout the whole trip. From planning the trip, June was really patient in answering my queries regarding the trip with her instant replies. The process of booking the tour to receiving the Tibet permit was really smooth and easy, thanks to June :)) In Tibet, everything, from fetching me at the airport to how the itinerary rolls out was smooth. I must thank the tour guide, George, and the tour group I was assigned to for making this trip memorable and enjoyable. Not only did the company made this trip memorable, the scenic views Tibet has to offer is another bomb. From the blue seas, mountainous terrain to the beautiful night sky, it was really beautiful. As I joined the group late by one day, I had to complete that one day itinerary alone with another tour guide, but nonetheless I still enjoyed myself. It was a 10/10 experience

5.00A group of 10 of us did a 7 day tour of Shanghai, Xian and Bijing. It was absolutely great. From start to the end. We had 4 tour guides over the week in 3 cities and they were all just 👍 Great. We had our own private bus.. They arranged all our transportation by air and train around China. The people were friendly and helpful. The hotels were nice and located in the action. We all loved it. Nobody in our group of 10 had any issues. The planning and the execution was 10+ Thank you Abbey and thank your staff for the memories.

5.00My week in Tibet was great. Everything I expected. June from Odyssey organized every step of the way on my behalf even my train ticket to get to Lhasa. June provided me with the tranquility of having all organized without any insecurities. Considering traveling in China and Tibet can be challenging considering language, special visa, distances, it was reassuring to have it all arranged before my arrival. The hotels organized were great specially the one in Lhasa upon arrival and before departure.

5.00It was an amazing 8 days experience in Tibet. To start with, a great consultant David who always ensure that I am safe, get my documents and enjoy my trip. It was an 8 days trip and our guide Tashi was very helpful and informative. He made us all solo travellers comfortable and made friends with each other internationally. I was very happy to do the cultural experience of Tibet in meditating, calligraphy etc. on our first day of tour. the nature of Yamdrok lake & Glacier made me speechless. Visiting all the monastery are very worth it. With friendly and compassionate people of Tibet made us feel very safe. The best one life time experience was the Everest base camp in Tibet. The majestic mountain, the vibes are really awesome. Overall a five star service and tour, I've ever had.
