Wide Birding has been super professional from the preparation (very proactive, quick direct answers, adapted tour and price). Once there it was a permanent enchantment on the birds watched, the places. Davis has always a bottle of water ready or other attention. He is very outgoing so knows everyone, always get you the best seats on boats, visits... The guide that other travelers envy you. The lodge were very nice always with something special, a view over the valley, a garden full of birds, the vicinity to a swamp, a service or team, a very good cuisine... that really made you love the place. That's a great value for money. Davis has so many secrets of where to find the dream bird you want. A special owl, a kingfisher? I loved my trip to Uganda and I can't wait to set up a new trip to Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania. Thank you. David

I just finished a 7 days trips in Uganda with Wide Birding Ecotours. It was a fantastic experience. My two guides Deo and Robert showed me hundreds of species in a short time including Shoebill, most of the Albertine endemics and many other rare birds. Both of them are real experts who know where the birds are, know all the calls and always made sure I had time to see the birds well and take a picture. The accommodations were of good quality and the 4*4 comfortable. So if you want a successful birding trip in Uganda do not hesitate and contact them !

Davis was an excellent guide and driver. His birding experience is why we chose his tour and we never would have seen so many of the endemic birds without his keen experience. Besides that, he is a truly funny and amiable guy!

My 14 yr old son and I had an unforgettable trip with Davis and Wide Birding Eco Tours. We went for about 15 days. I could write a ton of great things but I will focus on more brief bullet points that I think apply to birders like me trying to decide on the right guide. * Davis did a great job looking out for us, making us comfortable, making sure we got what we wanted out of the experience. English is taught in Ugandan schools so he obviously spoke great English, and we really didn't have any issues communicating throughout the trip. I wasn't expecting that. * He is very knowledgeable of locations throughout Rwanda and Uganda. Plus, you could tell he had strong local relationships every where we went which I could tell helped improve the experience. He also brought in very knowledgeable local guides at key times which made the experience even better. * Davis himself is an excellent, expert birder, both by sight and sound. He has been birding since his youth. Plus he's not only good at it but clearly loved it, and surrounded us with other guides who loved birding as well. * He chose very comfortable lodges with good food. * Birding was our priority but we wanted to keep on the lookout for other animals and he did a great job incorporating that. We saw the Big 5 and plenty more. He knew his mammals really well too. It was an amazing trip and we are very grateful for Davis and Wide Birding Eco Tours!
