This was our first trip to Africa, and every day felt like an adventure—amazing and exciting. We witnessed cheetahs and lions hunting, saw hippos and baby zebras, as well as flamingos, sunrises and sunsets. It was a perfect African journey, and I think I'll come back again.

My wife and I did the "8-Day Essence of Tanzania Safari - Luxury" tour at the end of June 2025. It's a private tour (just the two of us) which is great to be more flexible to our preferences. We visited - Tarangire and its happy elephants - Lake Manyara and saw the lions resting in the trees - Serengeti with the great migration and the big 5 (except the rhino) - Ngorongoro crater with the predators at sunrise and the shy rhino - Lake Eyasi to visit two tribes (one being animal herder + recycle metal work, the other hunter gatherer in a more remote location in the bushes) The weather was nice (good time of the year we heard). The accommodations and meals were fine (more luxury at first, less so for the last two nights in the more remote area). The cars seems to all be the same (converted Toyota land cruiser). The main difference is the guide / driver you will spend the 8 days with. We were with Mr Zadock and feel extremely lucky to have met him. It's a really difficult job with many different facets and he excels at all of them. To name a few - driving is quite difficult, the roads are pretty crazy - directions is not easy, there are no map and no sign, you need to know all the roads especially in Serengeti (otherwise you are stuck on the main roads which are more busy with other cars and less animals) - spotting the animals require very good knowledge of the animals, their behaviors and likely spots (for instance when we saw the catch of a leopard in the tree we waited from a distance because he knew the animal would come back shortly) - the guide also need to have an established network of other guides to share knowledge of what they see to know where to drive - maybe the most important is to be able to communicate well in English to explain things to us in a compelling and detailed way, and to understand what we are most interested in. On top of having the skills Mr Zadock also has a very strong work ethic and was willing to put in the work (and a lot of extra) to make sure we had an amazing experience. We drove much further in Serengeti than most people to see the great migration that we were really interested in. We woke up very early in Ngorongoro to enter the park at opening time at 6am and see the predators at sunrise. I think the fact that he has many years of experience and is so hard working was really the right fit for us. We think we had the experience of a lifetime and couldn't recommend him more. If we ever come back to the region we will want to have Mr Zadock be our guide again.

We had a really great experience of this safari tour and we had our best time of our life. The safari operator program is so good which takes us to see a lot of animals and environments in the wild life. Our tour guide Edward Masaki is really knowledgeable of the wildlife animals and explains it so well to us. He’s also an experienced and good driver. To conclude, the service is good and I will definitely recommend Gosheni to people who are coming to Tanzania for safari tour.

Good communication between the tour operator and us. We had some request about the accommodation and they were able to fulfil our request. Our tour guide Edward Masaki is very experienced and professional and also friendly. The service was on point that we felt comfortable throughout the whole trip. The money we spent is definitely worth every penny of it for the safari tour and the hotels.

“Albert, our driver, is a real hunter! He is familiar with Tanzania's national parks and reserves and always takes us away from the crowds to the most unique viewing spots. We were very touched by his patience and meticulousness, and especially by his respect for and sense of conservation of animals. Albert also arranged an unforgettable sunset picnic for us, a moment of beauty we will never forget. Thank you so much for making our journey so perfect!”

The trip to Tanzania was a fascinating and amazing experience. Our guide, Mati, made the trip interesting with his abundance of stories. Our driver, Habibu, was excellent. He not only drove us safely but also explained and described everything we saw. He had a great talent for spotting wildlife. Habibu was very friendly and sociable, especially with the children, who really liked him.
