Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

On this full-day tour your guide will meet you at 9:00am of your hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city central or Wulingyuan hotel then you visit different mountain areas such as Tianzi Mountian, where the world's longest cable car ride carries you to the mountain's peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain. There are more than 500 species of wildlife and vegetation in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, including rare monkeys, gingko trees and thousands of colorful birds. The most notable geographic features of the park are its hundreds of towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will instantly recognize the stunning landscape as the inspiration for the scenery of Pandora in James Cameron’s hit movie Avatar.

Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area , lying to the north of Zhangjiajie City, is a charming tourist attraction. It is one of the 40 famous scenic spots in China. It is said to be 'The ampliative miniascape and the contractible fairyland' and was admitted to the 'World Heritage List' in 1992. Covering an area of 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts- Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Today your tour will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve area.

Tianzi Mountain

When you purchase the main park entrance tickets and will take a shuttle bus(20 mins driving) to the Tianzi mountain cable station and need to walk up the 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds

After the 20 mins cable car ride, you will reach the top of the Tianzi mountain then you will take a shuttle bus again(5 mins driving) to the Tianzi Mountain central area which is provides stunning views of peaks, which rise one after another. It is known as 'the Monarch of the Peak Forest'. At the top of the mountain, visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful scenes of the mountain greet visitors in different seasons. There are four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine and the Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator

After the Yuanjiajie(Avatar mountain), you will take a shuttle(15 mins driving) head to the Bailong Elevator. Bailong Elevator is very magnificent. The total height of it is 335 meters (1099 feet), of which the running height is 326 meters (1069 feet). 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells and the rest of 172 meters (564 feet) was composed of steel derrick and other components. The Elevator includes three exposure sightseeing elevators running parallelly. Each elevator can take 50 passengers every time and the speed is 3 m / s (the speed has been accelerated to 5m / s since 2013). If the three elevators run simultaneously, the amount of one-way passengers will reach 4,000 per hour.

Golden Whip Brook

You will hiking around one hour along the Golden Whip Stream then take a shuttle go out of the park and back to the hotel. Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, its verdant mountains, its steep cliffs and its serene valley. As a veritable “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned by an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. And it is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men(water-surrounded gates).

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge

Next, you will head to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge area, but you just see the bridge, there is no time for you to visit the Grand canyon. Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, aka Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon skywalk, is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, hanging over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Looking from a distance, it looks like a piece of white silk floating between the clouds and fog, hence it is also called Yuntiandu, meaning “a way of clouds to the sky”. Standing on it, if dare to, you can have a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon.

Zhangjiajie

At 9:00am, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer to the Zhangjiajie Tianmen park.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park

Today you will spend 3-4hrs at Tianmen Mountain Park. You will using the cale car or shuttle bus go up of the hill, but it depends of the traffic. Tianmen Mountain, appears as the ”New Legend Of Zhangjiajie “. It’s the highest spot (1500m) in Zhangjiajie,where you can walk on super-exciting cliff-path and glass walkway and see the whole city and beautiful countryside with bird’s view. and the landscape there is totally different from, meanwhile, at the same level as the ZJJ national Park. Both are world-class scenery, so it’s a must-visit highlight of this city you should not miss. What is more Unbelievable? this single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records in its small body. and any of them will be overwhelmingly impressive to any type of human being. Just an amazing experience you have never had before.

Fenghuang County

After the lunch, your guide will escort you to Fenghuang, need 3hrs driving, 220km. The Fenghuang(Phoenix) Town, built in 1704, was granted as a famous national cultural and historical city. The blue flagstone streets, stilted houses, and customs of the Miao nationality all make up its unique charm. For the rest of day, you can wander around the ancient town freely.

Phoenix Ancient Town

Today you will have a full exploration of the Fenghuang Ancient Town. After breakfast, you will take a boat along Tuojiang River, the mother river of the town. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls and you can see water plants swaying in the gentle waves. In addition, the mist sometimes rises from the quiet green water, making it a fairyland. Then you will be guided to Wanming Pagoda on the north bank of the river. The hexagonal pagoda of around 21 meters (69 feet) high has seven layers. There are copper wind bells hanging at each corner of the eaves. Colored paintings and sculptures are also decorated on the body of the pagoda. After enjoying the elegant pagoda, you will cruise down to the Rainbow Bridge. Looking out of the window on its second floor, you can have a good view of the green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses. Besides, you can also see several boats moving quietly through the river.

Tuojiang Rock

You will conclude our private Fenghuang tour with Tiaotiao Rock, one of the landmarks of the town. The total length of the rock is about 100 meters (110 yards) with 15 stone piers crossing the Tuojiang River. Standing in the middle of the Tiaotiao Rock, you can definitely take nice shots of the stilted buildings and Rainbow Bridge.

Mount Fanjing

Your guide will meet you at 9am and head to Mount Fanjingshan. You will take the South Route to ascend the mountain. First take park bus from the tourist center to Yu'ao Station where you will take a cable car up to the mountain top area, which will save you a lot of time for you to spend on the highlighting area. What to see at Fanjingshan: Located in Tongren, Guizhou province (southwest China), Fanjingshan is the highest peak of Wuling Mountains, 2,570m (8,430ft) above sea level. Besides standing out as a sacred Maitreya mountain for Buddhists, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve was also established and designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and later announced as a World Heritage Site in 2018.

After the Fanjing Mountain, you will head for Zhenyuan Ancient Town and need 3.5hrs driving, 207KM. The Zhenyuan town has more than 160 scenic spots including the ancient streets, the caves, temples, pavilions, rivers, bridges with gorgeous natural landscape. Situated between mountains and waters, Zhenyuan is the oldest city of Guizhou with different customs of ethnic minority compared to that of Xijiang. It is extraordinarily quiet compared with many other ancient towns. The town is divided into two parts by the Wuyang River: south 'Wei City' and north 'Fu City', which forms a water town. Hence it is well-reputed as the 'Oriental Venice'. Spend some leisure time to explore in the old town is also a pleasant thing.

Qinglong Cave Ancient Architecture Group

This morning, you can visit the Qinglong cave before head to Kaili, but is the optional , you can go inside(need to pay the ticket) or just take a photo from outside of the temple. The Qinglong Cave or Black Dragon Cave is a group of Buddhist and Taoist temples along the Wuyang River. These temples, half built and half caved into the cliff, represent a unique architectural masterpiece in the region. There is nothing like the view from the other side of the river, as it is very impressive. Once indoors, however, the detail of the buildings and the beauty of the statues are equally as interesting.

Miao Village

After the Zhenyuan town, you will transfer to Kaili and visit the Miao villages before check in the hotel in Kaili. You will visit the Lanhua and Jidao and Langde Miao villages due to those villages just nearby the Kaili and need one hour driving from the Kaili city center. The Langde village is 30 km away from Kaili. Surrounded by green mountains,Langde Village is situated beside a crystal-clear stream. You have to drink "block-the-way" wine when you arrive (a local custom for welcoming the guests). Twelve tables are placed in the middle of the path from the highroad to the gate of the village. Then visit the traditional Miao-style stilt houses enjoy sweet Miao folk songs. After that,you could have a free walk on the roads and courtyards in the village paved with cobbles or bluestone.

Xiaohuang Village

At 08:30am, your guide will meet you at Kaili hotel and transfer to the Congjiang Yintan Dong village and need three hours driving. This village was similar village as Xiaohuang village. The Yintan Dong village, about twenty kilometers away from Congjiang, is one of the most representative Dong villages in Guizhou for its Dong buildings and daily life of this minority. Although the houses are fairly recent (50-100 years ago ), the rules for the Dong buildings have been met. Taking a good look at the natural environment of the village, the houses, the drum towers, the pavilions, they are competely different from the ones in West! The drum tower of the village soars to 21 feet high in the center of the village. Wherever one is, one can not miss the center f Yintan. Travelers have the feeling of being immersed in time amidst extremely well preserved buildings.

Yisha Miao Nationality Village

After that, you will transfer to Basha Miao village. Basha is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village and is virtually untouched in any way by modernization. Basha residents still live in their wooden houses, practice centuries-old customs and have their own unique beliefs. The village is perched on a hill, 5 kilometers from Congjiang. Legends say that Basha's ancestors immigrated from heartland China to this isolated mountainous region over 2,000 years ago.

Zhaoxing DongZhai

When you finished the visit of Basha village, you will drive to Liping Zhaoxing Dong village and need one hour driving via the highway and you will stay at this village. The Zhaoxing Dong Village, located in Liping County, southeast of Guizhou Province, is one of the largest Dong Villages in Qiandongnan area in Guizhou. Walking into Zhaoxing Dong Village, one will feel as though the clock is being turned back. All the buildings in the village are wooden-stilt houses. This is a picturesque village noted for the beautiful natural sights and unique ethnic flavor. It is surrounded by verdant mountains with a crystal stream running through.

You will take a shuttle bus from Zhaoxing village to Tang'an village and need 15 minutes and after visit, you can hiking down to Zhaoxing village or take a bus back. The TangAn village is located about 6 km east of Zhaoxing, half way up Mount Longbao, about 840 meters above sea level. The village was first built in the Jiaqin years of Qing Dynasty (A.D 1795-1820). It is now home to over 170 households and more than 800 people. The Dong people live together in clans, and the two main clans being the Ying and Lu. They live scattered between the Banbo and Jiding ranges.

Zhaoxing DongZhai

Your guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at around 09:00 in the morning. You will be escorted to the well-known Guiyang Qinyan ancient town in around 4hrs ride, 295km.

Qingyan Ancient Town

The Qingyan Ancient Town which was established in 1378 by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). Today the town covers an area of 3 square kilometers. It retains much of its original layout and many of its ancient buildings, from the Qing (1644–1912) and even the Ming dynasty. Visitors can see well-preserved stone-slab lanes, archways, watchtowers and battlements. The town was originally built of stone. Fantastic stone walls still remain, with gates facing north, south, east and west. There were originally eight stone tablets outside the gates and three of these remain today, each with intricate sculptures. Many other historical relics survive. Among its 37 tourist attractions are 9 temples, 8 shrines, 5 pavilions, 3 caves, 2 ancestral halls, 1 palace and 1 academy. There are also 3 ancient archways. Most of these ancient buildings are exquisitely carved with terrapins, dragons and other traditional Chinese patterns.

Guiyang

At the end, your guide will escort you to your hotel or Guiyang airport/train station. End of your 8 day tour services.
