  Our guide Frank was great. He way always on time, very reliable. He knew the right spots to spot the animals. He was very patient, as my husband loves to take many pictures and videos. We got to watch cheetahs on a hunt. We saw lions mating. We watched hyenas following prides of lions after a hunt. There are too many animals to list every one. Frank knew names of every bird. Frank organized hot lunches every day. The lodging exceeded our expectations every night. Buffet style breakfasts and dinners were excellent every day. Meru -Slopes was very easy to communicate with. They respond very quickly. The entire safari ran very smoothly. Overall a wonderful experience.

  We enjoyed immensely our 6-day private mid-range Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro that we booked through Meru Slopes. From start to finish the experience was flawless. Jerome was the sales rep that provided great customer service and answered all my pre-trip questions in a timely manner. Our driver / guide was Frank who went out of our way to make sure we were well taken care of and happy throughout the trip. He had a keen eye to spot wildlife which was most important to us. He was persistent in making sure we saw as much as possible considering it is always unpredictable what you might find on any given day but that was part of the excitement. The Toyota Land cruisers are fun and we enjoyed looking out the open roof area to see what we could spot. We were well fed the entire trip (too much food) especially since with the exception of one day on the go we had hot lunches. We enjoyed all the lodges and the amenities considering some are in the middle of nowhere - they were all clean with excellent buffet breakfasts and dinners. One was particularly upscale and the others were all glamping style, comfortable, private, with electricity and hot water. All-in-all would highly recommend Meru Slopes. Jerome and Frank made the trip memorable and special, a definite bucket-list item. Our guide was knowledgeable and very personable - perhaps, he could have volunteered a bit more information about the history, animal behavior, culture but when we asked he had answers. We preferred anyway to soak in the experience vs. info overload.

  We had the most amazing experience during our 8-day safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. From the very first moment until our return to Arusha, everything was perfectly organized and exceeded our expectations. Our guide Nuru was simply outstanding – extremely knowledgeable, always friendly, and with a fantastic sense of where to be at the right time. Thanks to him, we were able to see an incredible variety of wildlife, from large elephant herds and lions on the hunt to countless birds and even the more elusive animals. He always made sure we had the best possible viewing spots while avoiding the big crowds. The itinerary covered a wonderful variety of landscapes: Tarangire with its majestic baobabs and elephants, the dramatic scenery of Lake Natron, the endless plains of the Serengeti, the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, and the lush beauty of Lake Manyara. Each park had its own magic, and together they made for an unforgettable journey. The accommodations and meals were far better than we expected. Every day we enjoyed freshly prepared food, often served as proper picnics in the middle of nature, which made the experience even more special. We never felt rushed, and the team always made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. To sum up: • Excellent organization – smooth and professional from start to finish. • Amazing guide (Nuru) – passionate, fun, and a true expert. • Incredible wildlife and landscapes – we saw all of the Big Five and so much more. • Great food and lodges – fresh meals and cozy places to stay. We can wholeheartedly recommend Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.   The safari was great. Our guide was Mohamed, who seemed to have very good knowledge of the parks and where to find the animals we wanted to see. He was always friendly and helped us get the best pictures. The road was somewhat tired from the route we chose but it was worth it. I would definitely recommend this company and our guide who guided the Spanish safari without problem.

• Unforgettable Safari with Jacob & Meru Slopes – Truly the Trip of a Lifetime!

  We just returned from an incredible safari with Meru Slopes Safari, and we are still in awe! From start to finish, everything was well-coordinated, smooth, and professional. The true standout of our experience was our amazing guide and driver, Jacob. Jacob is not only incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife and the ecosystems of Tanzania, but he also has a great personality—friendly, patient, and always eager to share interesting facts and stories. He made us feel safe, excited, and truly immersed in the experience every single day. Thanks to Jacob’s sharp eyes, we saw the Big Five (and much more!) up close and in their natural habitat. A major highlight of our accommodations was Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge—absolutely stunning! It offered the perfect mix of luxury and nature. The staff were warm and attentive, the views were spectacular, and every detail made us feel pampered and connected to the surroundings. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, we cannot recommend Meru Slopes Safari and Jacob enough. This experience far exceeded our expectations and gave us memories that will last a lifetime.   We are so glad that we chose Meru Slopes! Meru Slopes provided a safari experience that managed to exceed our already high expectations. Gift Tembo communicated swiftly and clearly during our planning. He helped us customize the perfect 8 day safari experience. Our driver and guide Florian was friendly, experienced, very professional, and responsible for providing us with an even better experience than we could have imagined. He knew every animal and could spot them with surprising speed. We noticed many other safari companies struggling with inexperienced or poorly maintained vehicles. Our vehicle was very well maintained and our driver gave us the highest confidence. We also did a Materuni Falls day trip, prior to our safari. In that case, our driver and guide was Herman. As with the other Meru Slopes team members, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and the best guide and new friend. I highly recommend Meru Slopes tours and safaris. Their prices were very fair, their lodges and hotels were spectacular, and their guides were the utmost professionals.

  Highly recommend this safari company for anyone planning a trip to Africa! From the very beginning, when I first reached out via email, our operator Almachius was incredibly responsible and efficient — he carefully crafted an itinerary that fully considered all my requests. Due to a last-minute change in our flight schedule, we urgently needed to postpone our trip by a day, and Almachius quickly adjusted everything for us without any issues. The itinerary he arranged was thoughtful and seamless. As for the safari experience itself, our guide Robert was simply outstanding. With 12 years of experience, he helped us spot four of the Big Five (except for the rhino) within the first two days — truly unforgettable! He was not only skilled at tracking animals but also explained their behaviors to us, helping us understand what they were likely to do next. We saw so many animals, and Robert always patiently answered our questions and shared his knowledge. Although we didn’t catch the Great Migration at the Mara River, we were lucky to witness a mini river crossing by wildebeest in the western Serengeti — still an incredible experience. Huge thanks to Robert for giving us such an amazing and memorable trip. I really hope to come back again during the peak migration season in July–September!

  I had booked this safari trip with Jerome. He is very professional and responsible. Since this is the first time I booked a safari tour, he always answered my questions quickly and throughly. He had visited us twice before and after tour to make sure we were comfortable. We requested a tour guide with experience and easy to communicate. Jerome had assigned Samwel to us as our tour guide. He is exactly what we asked. He had a lot of years experience so can easily find animals. He is very acknowledgeable with Tanzania history and culture so he gave us an introduction of this beautiful country. He is also very flexible. He can adjusted our schedule based on what we requested at same time to make sure we saw everything. Thank both Jerome and Samwel to make our trip comfortable. Meru slopes is absolutely we will recommend if you are interested in booking a safari tour in Tanzania.

  Mohamed has been a fantastic guide, helped us in everything during the trip and made it an amazing experience. We have seen all the animals, on many occasions being alone because of the great experience they have, and we have enjoyed the parks 100%. The hotels offered by the company are perfect, both facilities and staff. Amazing!!!!!
