Travel across incredible Guyana, taking in vibrant city and natural wonders from Georgetown City to the stunning Kaieteur water falls and to the Rupununi savanna's. The tour encompasses a jaunt in the rain forest to spot birds , spot wildlife and enjoy nature at its very best. You will encounter a hidden piece of paradise in this least explored country called Guyana.

Please note: There is a weight restriction of ONLY 20 lbs for flights in and out of Annai, therefore you should take this into consideration when packing. ideally, you may wish to bring a backpack.
What to bring: Pair of cotton pants/quick dry, light cotton shirts, decent walking shoes/ trainers/sneakers, hat, sunscreen, swimwear, Tooth brush, tooth paste, soap and towel, Malaria Medication, Mosquito repellent (50% DEET is sufficient), Pocket money (Souvenirs, tips for guides), Camera equipment (Recommended waterproof for protecting important equipment from sudden rains, boat rides etc)

At 11:45 am our company staff will meet you at the hotel and take you to the Eugenie Correa Airport located at Ogle (15 minutes) where we take a small aircraft to Kaieteur Falls (one hour flight). Kaieteur is world’s highest single drop water falls measuring 226 m. We spend about 2 hours at the falls before we fly back to Georgetown.

Georgetown's unique wooden architecture dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. The first stop is at the Seawalls where you will hear about the history of Georgetown and the various lamdmarks. The tour continues along Main Street and passes Red House, Prime Minister Residence, Walter Roth Museum, State House, Stabroek Market and ends at the botanical garden which is a sanctuary for over 200 species of birds.

We drive north through the rainforest to Iwokrama River Lodge.- a Rain forest Conservation and Development which contains 360,000 hectares of virgin forest in the center of Guyana. Iwokrama/Turtle Mountain (B-L-D) After breakfast, depart on a 30-minute boat ride to the foot of Turtle Mountain for a hike to its 951 foot (290 meter) summit. You may observe many species of monkeys, including the red howler, black spider and wedge-capped capuchin. In the afternoon, take a walk in the nearby forest. You may come across several looking for birds, including Black-necked Aracari, Screaming Piha, Grey-chinned Hermit, Crested Oropendola, Blue-and-Yellow Macaw and Black Curassow, Jaburi storks, Roseate Spoonbills, Wood Storks, Black Skimmers, Boat-billed, Herons and Muscovy Ducks .

5.00While the listing looked like a rigid itinerary we were pleasantly surprised by our host's ability to cater to our interests on the fly. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon and 1-year anniversary with this trip which was an excellent choice as we are both wildlife photographers. Our host was able to send us into the depths of the jungle and across the savannah in a very short amount of time to see some of the country's endemic and particularly interesting species all without sacrificing comfort and the other historical/cultural tours. It felt like a private tour of the country and we had a blast!

4.00I really enjoyed my experience with this tour. Mr. Orin was my local tour guide and driver, and I very much enjoyed his company, knowledge and perspective on the city. The experiences at Kaieteur and in the rainforest and savanna were equally as stunning. I wish I had had a little more time at Rock View Lodge, but I made the most of my time there. My only concern, at a couple moments, were the logistics. They changed a couple times last-minute that caused a little concern; but in the end, everything worked out just right and the trip was very enjoyable. I would recommend.
