Tarangire National Park

Your Kiliclimb Africa Safaris guide will greet you at your accommodation after a hearty breakfast. From there, we journey towards Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive on smooth tarmac roads. The park draws its name from the Tarangire River, a vital lifeline for wildlife during the dry season, often called the "river of warthogs." Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, frequently seen gathered along the riverbanks. Alongside them, giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests roam, while predators like lions and leopards keep a watchful eye. This park is also home to more bird species than anywhere else on Earth. Among its many wonders are the massive, ancient baobab trees, some thought to be over a thousand years old. After a leisurely lunch at a picturesque picnic site within the park, we continue our journey to your accommodation in Karatu.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we set off for a scenic drive into the cool highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we pause to take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater, a true natural wonder. Continuing through the conservation area, we make our way to the Serengeti, entering through its southern gate. The Serengeti’s immense plains stretch as far as the eye can see, providing the perfect backdrop for exceptional wildlife encounters. As we explore, we may cross paths with herds of impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, while keeping an eye out for the majestic predators of the Serengeti. After breakfast, we set off on a leisurely drive back to Central Serengeti, with an exciting en route game drive. This is your last chance to immerse yourself in the magic of the Serengeti, where the landscape constantly shifts and surprises. As we journey through, you may wish to continue tracking the incredible migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or encounter other wild wonders that make this park legendary. Ngorongoro Crater

Today, we journey through the heart of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, meandering through lush landscapes and encountering more wildlife along the way. It's not uncommon to witness a graceful journey of giraffes against the rolling hills. By lunchtime, we will arrive at the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. As you first lay eyes on it, the crater reveals itself like a hidden, untouched world. Enclosed by towering volcanic walls, the area is a vibrant blend of expansive savannahs, acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes and swamps. Formed millions of years ago by a volcanic explosion and collapse, this natural wonder is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. It also offers a rare opportunity to see the endangered black rhino in the wild. After an enriching game drive, we head to our peaceful accommodation in Karatu, reflecting on the day’s adventure.

Lake Manyara National Park

This morning, we embark on a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, your grand finale on this unforgettable safari. Located 120 km west of Arusha, Manyara is a pocket-sized wonder brimming with diversity, offering a one-of-a-kind experience. The park is a narrow strip of land, yet its grandeur is undeniable, with the Great Rift Escarpment towering over the western boundary. At its heart lies a shallow salt lake, a dynamic body of water that ebbs and flows with the seasons, attracting thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
