5.00I booked this tour expecting just wine, but it ended up being so much more. The 8-hour format gives you time to actually enjoy each stop instead of rushing from one tasting to the next. Our guide was fantastic at weaving in the cultural history of the Cape Winelands — from the French Huguenot influence in Franschhoek to the Dutch colonial architecture in Stellenbosch. At one estate we did a wine and chocolate pairing that completely changed how I think about tasting wine. At another we had a platter of local cheeses and biltong with a Chenin Blanc that was unforgettable. The private setting meant we could ask as many questions as we wanted without feeling like we were holding up a group. The driver also took us on a slightly different route back to Cape Town so we could see a viewpoint over False Bay. It’s the kind of day that makes you fall in love with the Cape beyond just the city.

5.00Absolutely fabulous from pick-up to drop-off! Got a good amount of history and information throughout and felt very comfortable to ask questions. Visited 4 wineries and saw beautiful South Africa countryside. Itinerary was accurate but Joseph was very flexible to what we wanted to do and we were not rushed at all!!! Such an enjoyable day! Driving was very safe and the car was very comfortable! So very glad we did this memorable adventure!

5.00We had an amazing time on the tour, and the guide did a fantastic job of tailoring the experience to our preferences. The wine tastings were superb, and the scenery was stunning. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a beautiful vineyard, and the history and insights about the region added so much to the experience

5.00This tour was the perfect way to experience the best of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek's wine country. Our guide was attentive and knowledgeable, and we got to taste some truly exceptional wines. The lunch at a local vineyard was delicious, and the views were unbeatable. Highly recommend

5.00I wasn't a huge wine fan, but this tour won me over! Our guide showed us the passion and care that goes into making wine, and we learned so much about the region. The food pairings were delicious, and the scenery was incredible.
KJA Tour helped with a great “Mandela” alternative when Robben Island was closed due to strong winds

5.00As a big admirer of Nelson Mandela, we had booked a trip to Robben Island, when we had some days in Cape Town. However, due to strong winds, the ferry was cancelled. Then Joseph and Collin from KJA Tours/Viator were a great help to find an alternative route where we could still be in the “footsteps” of Nelson Mandela. So we drove to gates of the Victor Verster Prison where Mandela spent his last years of imprisonment and from where he took his first steps into freedom. Later we stopped at a wonderful winery, the Grand Provence and then made our last stop in Stellenbosch. So, what started out as a cancellation of a highly awaited tour ended up as a really great alternative. So we give our highest recommendations to KJA Tour and Viator for their good service and helpfulness.

5.00Our tour to the Winelands was nothing short of amazing and beautiful. My girls and I had an unforgettable experience, all thanks to Joseph, our tour guide. He took his time to enrich us with the history of the Winelands and beyond. Joseph was courteous, professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable—not just about the Winelands, but Cape Town as a whole. We would happily call on him anytime we visit Cape Town again and will always recommend him to family and friends. 🤍🍷
