Best half-day tour for scenery. Your morning will be spent touring around some of the most spectacular scenery in the whole of the Lake District. This is a stress free, easy way to see a lot of the Lake District in a morning without feeling rushed. You have time to soak up the views and even paddle in a lake if you are brave enough. It is a great way for getting an overview of the Lake District, its culture, history and of course, its amazing scenery.
You will get plenty of variety, see magnificent scenery, eat gingerbread and get all the facts, figures and fascinating stories from our friendly, knowledgeable guides and drivers who know the area well.
Travelling in a comfortable mini-van with air con & phone charging ports as one of only 6/7 passengers you will find it is easy to ask questions and join in the conversation (if you want to). There are lots of stops for photos and fresh air. It is a great morning out and we can't wait to share it with to you.

The English Lake District weather can change quickly, even in the summer months. Please bring a waterproof coat with a hood in case of rain or windy weather
As there is a little walking involved on the tour, some uphill and on uneven or wet terrain, please wear suitable, comfortable shoes
No Children under the age of 7
Children must be accompanied by an adult
All passengers, including children of any age, must have a seat purchased for them
We will collect you from the departure point linked to your chosen option. Please do not change to a different departure point without informing us in advance as we don't automatically go to every departure point. If we don't know you have changed your departure point we may not pick you up for the tour!

5.00Everything worked out great ... from the pickup to the safe ride. In between, a trip through the Lake District with well-chosen stops. The information in between taught you about the origin and preservation of this region by dedicated people.

5.00We joined this tour as a couple, along with two other couples. In addition to the driver, there was also a guide, and both of them were historians. They were extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared many fascinating stories throughout the tour. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed beautiful views of lakes, farmlands, Stonehenge, and the house where Wordsworth once lived. It would have been impossible to visit so many wonderful places in such a short time on our own. The tour lasted three and a half hours, but it was packed with interesting sights and stories. It was truly a meaningful and rewarding experience—we’re really glad we joined.

5.00A perfect way to see the lakes! Our guides were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They provided tons of interesting information. The stops were all great to see, particularly the standing stones. So glad we did this!

5.00My husband and I loved the 8 Lakes tour. We appreciated the small group tour with our tour guide Tim. The countryside was beautiful and serene and Tim was very knowledgeable, witty and absolutely added to our enjoyment of this wonderful tour. Pleased to recommend!

5.00We were so lucky to be the only people on the trip. The weather was awful - rain and wind. However this did not stop us having a great tour. The driver Tim was fantastic, so knowledgeable, friendly and such a safe driver. I would recommend this trip to everyone

5.00Absolutely fantastic. We really couldn't have enjoyed it more. Tim, our brilliant guide, was constantly entertaining. His local knowledge of everything — history, geology, mythology, food, architecture, farming, politics, culture (including Wordsworth, Coleridge, Robert Southey, All Creatures Great And Small, Donald Campbell and Bluebird, Hardwicke Rawnsley, The Manchester Corporation and, of course, Beatrix Potter, who is *so much more* than we thought she was) — plus sheep (there's a lot to learn) — was AMAZING. There wasn't a single question he couldn't answer. We saw the eight lakes, plus towns, villages, viewpoints, waterfalls, corpse roads, Wordsworth’s grave, Castlerigg Stone Circle, the smallest house in the Lake District and the best smelling shop IN THE WORLD. 10/10. Would recommend to everyone, all day long. Wonderful.

5.00While the Lakes are wonderful to visit in summer, the crisp winter air and falling snow gave the region additional beauty and majesty. Tim was a fantastic guide, adapting the tour based on the weather, and providing fascinating insights on any and all topics. This is a must do activity when in the region. Can't wait to go back and explore the rest soon.

5.00Lake District feels right out of a fairy tale. The history associated with the various places is amazing...loved the gingerbread shop! Tim is a very knowledgeable and lovely guide.
