• Excellent Adventure in Ecuador

  We just returned home from our 9 day trip to Quito and the Galapagos, and I wanted to thank Rebecca Adventure Travel for the incredible experience. Specifically: *Juan Carlos (home office) - for his excellent guidance and planning for this trip *Danillo (Day 1 and Day 2 guide in Quito) - very friendly and helpful in learning about Ecuador. Always on time for our airport trips and tour. *Ceasar (Day 3 guide in Santa Cruz Highlands) - excellent knowledge about tortoises and very friendly. *Simon (?) (Day 4 Santa Fe snorkeling guide) - very knowledgeable and helpful guide, and especially good at supporting my wife (who is not a great swimmer). *Patricio (Day 5 guide to Charles Darwin Research Center) - friendly and knowledgeable *Adam (Day 6 guide to the sulphur mine in Isabela) - very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond the call of duty to assist my son (whose leg prevented him from completing the hike) by walking him back to the start - and then catching up to me and my wife at the bottom. *Victor (Day 7 guide to Isabela Wetlands) - very knowledgeable. *Sandra (Day 7 guide to Tintoreras Islet) - very friendly and capable snorkel guide. *Alphonse (Day 8 Los Tuneles snorkeling guide)- very helpful and friendly guide Also, just a few other comments about the trip that may be helpful to people considering this trip: * The hotels (Hotel Ikala Quito, Hotel Ikala Puerto Ayora, and Hotel Volcano) were all comfortable and the staffs were very friendly. * There are many boat trips in the Galapagos. Many of these boat trips are in rough seas. For those who are prone to sea sickness, be aware. The boat rides can be tough, but we survived and enjoyed the snorkeling very much. * The hike to the Isabela sulphur mine/volcano was excellent. However, it was a very challenging and rewarding hike. However, you should be aware that this is a very rigorous hike (and that people who are not used to rigorous hiking should avoid it). In summary, I recommend the Quito/Galapagos trip to those who want to learn about Ecuador, experience up-close the animals of the Galapagos and be led by very friendly, knowledgeable local guides. Above all, I highly recommend Rebecca Adventure Travel to design and implement the entire trip!

  We had such a wonderful experience creating a custom trip with Rebecca Adventure Travel -the guides, hotels, meals, briefings, everything was so organized and clear. We loved our entire eperience in Ecuador and Galapagos!

  My husband and I loved this tour! We changed the Colonial Quito day to horseback riding in Cotopaxi which was amazing and we highly recommend it. The Galápagos Islands were beautiful! It was nice having a professional tour company helping us, especially because we are not fluent in Spanish. The English speaking guides gave us advice on restaurants, the best coffee, shopping, hiking, etc that helped to make our trip the best it could be. We made some changes mid trip and Rebecca Adventure accommodated everything for us. Their customer service is wonderful and I really appreciate all of their help with our vacation!

  We loved our stop in Quito, which is an awesome city, then we went to Galapagos for our first time ever and Rebecca Travel made our trip so amazing and dreamful. Our activities and visits to Isabela, Santa Cruz, Seymour and Plaza Sur Islands were well organised and they were checking on us all the time. We highly recommend them for your trips in Ecuador and we hope we can go back again to Galapagos to visit the rest of the islands. You guys were great and many thanks!

  We enjoyed the island hopping trip which started in Santa Cruz. After a few hours there we took the speedboat to Isabella Island which was a lovely place to start our adventure. We were met on the dock upon arrival and escorted to our hotel for a few hours rest and then began our tour to Los Tuneles which is an amazing place above water and below. We seen the blue footed boobies doing their mating dance which was a highlight. During the snorkel trip we seen massive turtles, sharks, seahorses and many other types of aquatic life. During our time on Isabella Island we took the volcano walks, went to the tortoise breeding centre and took part in other boat/snorkeling trips where we seen the penguins, Frigate birds, the aquatic iguanas and Darwin finches. Everything was well planned with very little free time. Another highlight for us was Santa Fe Island. We swam with the sea lions and the water was full of all kinds of fish. We had one extra day in Quito where we guided by Angel. An excellent quide who knew the history of the country and of Quito so well. We learned a lot that day and enjoyed his tour immensely. Thank you to Rebecca Tours for putting it all together.
