We are a team of professional guides in the ancient and beautiful city of Samarkand.
Itinerary:
The Gur-Emir Mausoleum is the burial place of Tamerlane and his descendants. You will hear related facts and legends.
Registan Square is a visiting card of Samarkand. I will tell you about the magnificent mosques and madrasahs located in it.
Bibi-Khanum Cathedral Mosque - You will admire its sky-blue dome and arch the size of the Milky Way.
Hazrat Khizr Mosque was reconstructed in the 19th century, replacing the one destroyed in the 13th century. The original mosque on this site dates back to the 8th century.
The memorial complex Shakhi-Zinda is one of the mysterious architectural monuments of Samarkand. It is believed that this is where the grave of Kusam ibn Abbas, an associate of the Prophet Muhammad himself, is located.

Gur Emir Mausoleum
Amir Timur and his beloved grandchildren Muhammad Sultan, Ulugbek and other family members are buried here. I will tell you about the architectural solutions of this place, about the affairs and fate of Timur and about the interior decoration of the tomb - I’m sure you will be captivated by the “starry sky”! We will see from inside!
Registan
In the 15th-17th centuries it was the educational and spiritual center of the city. You will examine in detail the madrassas located on it: Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tallyakari. And I will share the features of the brilliant architecture of the Timurid era. You will imagine the times when these buildings served as religious schools and scientific centers, “read” the plots of the facades and simply enjoy the beauty of the complex. We will see from outside!

5.00We enjoyed our tour of five historic sites in Samarkand with Sam our tour guide. Sam spoke good English and gave a good insight into each of the buildings visited. It was a small group so it felt quite like a personal experience. He was happy to answer any questions we had. The tour was about 4 hrs which was fine and enjoyed the walk between locations which wasn’t too far. Nice way to spend the afternoon. Thanks Sam :-)

5.00Fayoziddin is a very good guide: he knows a lot of things and he's also ironic, so he makes the visit very funny. The tour lasted almost 4 hours and we covered the main attractions in Samarkand (of course in 4 hours you can't visit all of them from inside but we managed to visit a couple). Super recommended 😉

5.00Starting from the Guri Amir Mausoleum, you will visit five of the most popular sights within walking distance in 3 or 4 hours. This time our guide Fayoziddin is a long-time guide and a university lecturer, so the explanation was good enough. The style was to allow free time after the explanation, and the length of the free time was tailored to the participants' wishes (5-15 minutes). Time management is perfect. Some of the sightseeing spots are explained from the outside, not inside. We recommend taking time out to see the places you want to see more deeply. Don't forget to use water or sunscreen as the sun is strong in hot weather!

5.00Nice walking tour in Samarcanda with a very small group. Sam the guide was nice and made sure to provide lots of information about the city and Uzbek history. Second tour booked with this operator, definitely recommended as they really know how to make travelers happy.

5.00Our guide parvina spoke english and not only did she give us an amazing tour she went way out of her way to make sure we have a great time and we did. The best thing is that she works as a teacher and she was able to teach us about the amazing samarkand history

5.00Excellent city tour, very smooth and showing all the beauty of Samarkand. Our guide Samandar was excellent: great English and very knowledgeable about the city, country and monuments history. He has the right level of details and adapt to your pace. The full tour (if you chose to go through all 5 monuments / places) lasts about 6hrs, depending on how long you stay…and while entry tickets are additional as you wish to step inside each, every single one truly deserves it.
