Get ready for a 4-hours desert safari starting with morning pick-up at your hotel. A 45-minute drive takes you to the heart of the desert outside Abu Dhabi. Explore the desert in a 4x4 vehicle, bashing the huge dunes. The fun continues with a chance to try out sandboarding. Follow the instructions and glide over the dunes as you see how simple it really is. During the safari there will be plenty of opportunity to pose for some photos in the desert. Your friendly driver will help you with that. This special morning safari concludes with a short camel ride before the transfer back to the pick-up point

5.00Thanks so much Masal for the amazing experience we lived today. We really appreciated the trip to the desert, together with my family. Dune bashing was so funny thanks to Masal who is an experienced driver, and it was great to try sand board! Masal was a very kind and professional guide, who rendered the experience unforgettable! I highly recommend this experience if you wish to discover the Abu Dhabi desert!

1.00This was given 1 star for one reason, because the driver was unfit to drive that day. The Ramadan period began a couple days prior to our tour and it was obvious that the driver was tired. He was unable to keep his eyes open while driving. It was a very unsafe situation. He was weaving between lanes and slowed to 20km/hr at one point on the highway as he dozed off. I called him out on it and he insisted he wasn’t sleeping but he slowed to 20km/hr and his eyes were shut for 15 seconds. He also kept yawning. At multiple times on the highway cars would honk because he was drifting between lanes. We told him that he needed to rest and he did take a couple pit stops to take long (10 to 20 minute) bathroom breaks (presumably to sleep). The other passengers were also very nervous. While on the tour he was fine and on the sand dunes it was like he caught a second wind. The sand dunes were lots of fun, he was engaged, took pictures of us, etc but getting to/from the dunes was outright scary. I tipped him a small amount at the end of the tour hoping he’d just go home and sleep rather than drive another tour that day. I debated even writing this review because I do not want him to get fired. He’s a skilled dunes driver but this situation was unacceptable. The tour company should adjust the schedule for Ramadan.

5.00Although normally we are not really fond of organized tours we really enjoyed this trip! Shine is an excellent driver, has a nice personality, is very helpful and takes great pictures. We were a group of 5 persons going with him and that was just fine. It was well organized and the communication in advance via WhatsApp worked well. If you do not have so much time and want to get a first impression of the beautiful desert, then this half-day-trip is absolutely recommendable!
