  I did the Acatenango and Fuego hike with our lovely host and guide Marvin. This is a hike and company I would definitely recommend! Everything was well organized from breakfast and introduction with the group, gathering of warm clothes and other equipment, transport to the starting point of the hike, food during the day, cabins where we spent the night and the hike itself. The group was very fun and we took breaks during the hike to basecamp to accommodate everyone on the group (a bit too many breaks for my preference, but it's good we didn't leave anyone behind). You had the option to rent a porter for your backpack, which I would also recommend. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather so we couldn't see anything from basecamp, but I was glad I did the extra Fuego hike. Seeing the volcano erupt is a once in a lifetime experience, that I wouldn't miss for the world! All together I had a very good experience!

  The hike with CA travelers was really good! They knew what they were doing and it felt comfortable and safe. The cabins at the top are pretty good and better than I expected. The view was incredible. Marvin was fantastic, he was fun and chill. One thing I learned that I didn’t know booking them is that all of the money you spend goes into investing in schools for the community in the surrounding area, which feels really good, because the Guatemalan people are wonderful. A few notes for the hike itself, ITS HARD! Pack layers, lots of them. And bring extra because everything gets wet, you hike through the rain forest. And hire a porter!!! You will enjoy it significantly more if you hire a porter. The money helps the porters out and their families too. They’re all very sweet.

  Everyone at CA Travelers, especially Marvin, was amazing!! The tour guides were so helpful and seeing how CA travelers works with the locals is so awesome. The trek was hard but soooo worth it! Everyone was so kind and would recommend 1000%! Went solo and made a ton of friends

  I had an amazing experience hiking Acatenango with CA Travelers. One thing I really appreciated was how many essentials they were able to lend out, including a winter jacket. It gets incredibly cold up there, so don’t underestimate the weather; bring plenty of layers. The food was also surprisingly good, and I highly recommend hiring a porter, at least for the way up. It not only makes the climb much more manageable but also supports the local community. Our main guide, Marvin, was fantastic, and we had a fun group overall. The hike itself is tough, but we were lucky with the weather and had incredible views the entire way. Watching Fuego erupt throughout the evening and then catching an unforgettable sunrise from the summit of Acatenango made the effort completely worth it. Overall, it was a really rewarding experience and an absolute must-do in Guatemala. CA Travelers turned out to be a great agency. I hadn’t heard much about them beforehand, but they came recommended by other groups in the area, and I’m glad I went with them.

  CA travelers is the BEST!!!!!! Carlos was the best guide we could have asked for - patient, kind, and kept our spirits high even when we had some disappointing weather. This group is the best in the business and they made this difficult hike seamless and all of the logistics were incredibly smooth. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience

  Excellent tour. Good guides. Everything arranged to perfection. Material is fine. Meals are good. Clear explanation of the course of the hike. At base camp you will stay in a good cabin that offers protection from the cold. If you are not in top condition you can rent a porter for your luggage and 4 liters of water.   Beautiful experience! The tour was very well organised. CATravellers and our guide, Marvin told us everyhting we needed to know before, so that we could enjoy our hike and stay to the fullest. Thanks to the equipment provided we were always confortable, and thanks to Marvin’s experience we always felt safe. Now, for the experience itself, WOW, the hike is medium-hard but totally worth it. Jungle, camping, an actual active volcano, and a hike by dawn to see the sunrise above the clouds. What more can you ask for… A big thank you also to Leo and all the guys at CA for the help in booking transportation to our next destinazione.

  The Acatenango hike was an amazing experience, made even better thanks to how well organized everything was. From start to finish, the company took great care of us — the rental of warm clothes was super helpful, and the meals were delicious, both before the hike and during the ascent. The real highlight, however, was the team of incredibly caring guides. Our main guide, Carlos, kept everyone in high spirits with his great mood, constant motivation, and genuine support. You could really feel that he wanted every person to reach the top safely and happily. I also really appreciated that any payments for extra services or the final push to the Fuego volcano go directly to the local communities. This made the experience feel even more meaningful. I would definitely recommend doing this tour with this company — it was unforgettable and absolutely worth it!
