Our all included tour is the best option to enjoy this beautiful volcano which travelers have rated it as the most beautiful volcano in all Central America, its beauty is due to the twin volcano Fuego which is active and performs an extraordinary eruption for all the travelers at our camping area on Acatenango.
Our company is located in front of the Fuego Volcano and if it is clear enough you will be able to see Pacaya and Agua volcanoes as well.
Each cabin has a pillow, – 6°C sleeping bag, extra blanket, a 5″ or 12cm comfortable mattress, under the matt all over the tent we have a waterproof carpet to isolate the cold from the bottom.
In our tourism project we work together with a cooperative of local guides CAT (Comité de Autogestión Turística) conformed by the people of the community San Jose Calderas, Chimaltenango.
Our cabins are shared by 2 or 4 people (the number of people per cabin depends on availability when the reservation is confirmed).

7:15 am - Breakfast at CA Travelers. We have 6 breakfast options so you are ready for the adventure. Please be on time to enjoy your breakfast with no rush.

8:00 am - Pick up at CA Travelers office. Our shuttle will pick you up from CA Travelers to the Supply Center.

8:15 am - Supply Center. At the supply center we will provide you everything that you need, we need to pack fast to continue to the entrance of the volcano. Here we have the storage room to leave your stuff behind.

9:30 am - Ride to the Acatenango Volcano. We have 45 minutes in the shuttle to the volcano

10:30 am - Start Hike. We take the before picture with the whole group, we introduce the guides and we are ready to go

1:30 pm - Lunch Time. After the first two hours, the group will stop for lunch. That way you have 45 minutes to recover your energy

4:00 pm - CA Travelers Campsite. Arriving to the campsite, the guides will pre pare Guatemalan hot chocolate (Real Kakao) as a reward for your effort and to enjoy the volcano.

7:00 pm - Dinner Time. Whenever you get hungry the guides will prepare the dinner for you. After dinner you can go to sleep or watch the volcano all night long

On the way back at the CA Travelers supply center, a Smoothie will be waiting for you!!
Acatenango
Top of the Volcano: Be ready to hike to the top of the volcano. It takes 1.5 hours to reach the top. Enjoy the sunrise. Breakfast time: When you return to the campsite, the guides will prepare the breakfast for you. Leaving the campsite: Pack your stuff and start coming down. It takes 2.5 hours. Entrance of the Volcano: We take the after picture and we get back to the shuttle.

Ride to the supply center to drop off the equipment, the staff will be waiting for you with a delicious smoothie. Back to Antigua: Return to Antigua, you will be drop off at your hostel

5.00We did the tour with Marvin as our Guide and it was truly a very exhausting but wonderful experience. The view in the end made it all worthy. Marvin did everything so everyone in our group could enjoy the whole hike and I think I can say everyone did. The food was good and the rooms to sleep were also great and comfortable with a perfect view at the volcano at all time. Me and my wife didn’t had any problems with the altitude and we didn’t take any medicine for the altitude sickness. The first two ours are pretty tough but after lunch I would say it was a nice hike to the Base camp. Can only recommend booking with CA :)

5.00Alejandro es el mejor! 🙌 From day one, Alejandro at the reception was honestly amazing. We came in just looking for some information about a hike, and he immediately took so much time to explain and organize everything in detail! He even called to ask if they have our shoe size there!! He’s super helpful, funny, and just an all-around great person to talk to — the communication was easy and genuinely human, not that typical “hotel staff” vibe. You could tell he actually cares. Later we booked our shuttle through him as well, and everything worked perfectly. No stress, no confusion, just smooth organization and really good advice. And if you book a tour, definitely ask if you can get Alejandro as your guide I wish we did the hike with him, you won’t regret it! ❤️

5.00This was the best experience I could have gotten out of the hike! They were so supportive the whole way up, even if I was moving very slow. The food is delicious, and I had more to spare after each meal. Difficult hike but they made the trip unforgettable!

5.00Amazing experience!! Would highly recommend this group and Carlos as a guide. Communication was excellent beforehand (make sure you get in the WhatsApp group) so that I could pack efficiently and CA Travelers was an excellent service. Truly would recommend 10/10!!
