We'll get organized and prepare for the adventure in the charming city of Antigua Guatemala.

Acatenango, La Soledad

We'll arrive at the base of the volcano to begin the challenging but rewarding ascent. The hike takes approximately 6-7 hours, including breaks.

We will arrive at our camp just in time to see an unforgettable sunset over the clouds. Enjoy a hot light dinner as the Volcano of Fire roars with eruptions that light up the night. You will see lava flow and feel the earth vibrate in a unique sensory experience. Stay overnight in a shared dome with sleeping bag and warm equipment included.

We'll wake up around 3:30 a.m. for a 1.5-hour hike to the summit of Acatenango (3,976 meters / 13,045 feet). You'll arrive at the top just in time to see the most spectacular sunrise of your life, with panoramic 360° views of other volcanoes, the Pacific Ocean, and the Guatemala Valley.

Return to camp for breakfast.

Antigua

We'll begin the descent back to the vehicle. We'll then transfer you to Antigua and finally to your hotel in Guatemala City, arriving around midday.
