This walking tour offers you the opportunity to explore the Acropolis Monuments with a licensed tour guide. Whether you arrive in Athens in the afternoon or morning and you want to visit the Acropolis when the weather is more cooler, and the crowds are starting to wane, this tour is for you. This unique and leisurely tour takes you to the glorious Parthenon, and you will get to enjoy the landmark monuments of the Greek capital in a new light.

Persons under 18 years old they must need their passports to ensure their age as they have a discounted entrance ticket, a photocopy on mobile device will work too.

Entrance fees are included (unless you book without entrance tickets) - if you choose without you will need to book them on line at the official website asap since they can be sold out days in advance, if still tickets are sold please inform us to book them for you in advance
Infants must sit on laps - Strollers are not allowed within Acropolis, you can leave your stroller at the meeting point in our premises at Porinou 5.

Please make sure this tour includes approximately one mile of walking uphill/downhill on uneven surfaces and 200 steps (both ways).
Guests are advised to wear flat and comfortable walking shoes. Large backpacks and oversized purses are not permitted inside the site. Long queues and waiting might occur and every effort is made to coordinate the best timings for visits.

5.00Very easy directions to get to the tour beginning point. Our guide Lisa made our tour amazing! We started at the Museum and then went up to the Acropolis. She explained everything to us in the museum that we would see once we got up there and what everything was supposed to look like back in the day and what it looked like now. She was the best guide of any tour I've ever had in any country. We had an amazing time!
More walking than I thought, but really worth it.

5.00Man, that place was old. I mean, like it was ancient. Our guide, Margarita was fantastic! There is a lot more to the Acropolis than I realize and she did a great job of bringing all the history to life. I knew there would be walking but there was a bit more than I thought there would be. And the trails and paths, while not overly difficult, were uneven and required you pay attention. It is June, so it was kinda hot, but the low humidity kept it manageable. We started our tour at 8:30 at the Athens Walks office and were quickly divided into our group of about 25 or so people. They distributed the audio devices and then Margarita had us on our way. It was early but the people were already there. A lot of people, but not crazy crazy number of people. After the site tour we opted for the museum tour with Margarita. Again well worth it. She toured us through the entire museum again bringing the history to life. And the museum is beautiful! Sure, you gotta pay for the tour, but we got so much extra out of the experience. Definitely 10 out 10. Would do it again.

4.00Yolanda was lovely! I would give her 5 stars alone. Having a tour guide explain the meaning behind the temples and the myths was absolutely worth it. She was very engaging with my 7 y/o daughter. The check in process was a bit harried. We had to wait a bit to get our tickets because we had discounted tickets with the kids with only one person doing their best to check in droves of people. There was someone at the door directing traffic and answering questions. The experience could be improved by providing some over ear headphones specifically for smaller kids when the generic earbuds won't work (or instruction to bring your own)

5.00We arrived early and the booking process was very smooth, we even managed to get on to an earlier group. Our tour guide was Afroditi whose knowledge and enthusiasm added an extra level to the experience and our understanding of the sites we where viewing. The tour was at a steady pace giving us time to take in all the sites and the atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend Athens Walks, especially if you get Afroditi as your guide.

5.00This was a great experience with loads of local knowledge on the history of this incredible site. We opted for the 8am tour and glad we did as it was already warm and there were thousands there. We learnt a lot this day and the scenery was just amazing.
