Herod Atticus Odeon

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stunning stone theater located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis in Athens. Built in 161 AD by the Roman senator Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife, it was originally covered with a wooden roof and could seat around 5,000 spectators. Still in use today for concerts and performances, it is one of the finest examples of ancient Roman theater architecture in Greece.

Was our first leg of our vacation and we could not have asked for a more memorable start. So many points of interest were part of this 4-hour tour, so much value for the price of admission. Highly recommend especially for any history buff.

This was an incredible tour. Our guide was so knowledgable and kept us interested throughout our tour. The guide was also able to answer all of our question. Such a great way to experience the great monuments of Athens!

It was hot, but our tour guide Stevie was great and shared all the essentials. My teenage daughter wanted to bow out after the Parthenon but we made it through the agora which I recommend.
