Holy Trinity Cathedral
Holy Trinity Cathedral, also known in Amharic as Kidist Selassie, is the highest ranking Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built in 1942 to commemorate the Ethiopian victory over Italian occupation and is an important place of worship in Ethiopia. The tombs of the Emperor Haile Selassie and Empress Menen Asfaw, as well as other members of the Imperial Family, can be found inside the cathedral.
Located in Piazza area, Tomoca is the oldest coffee shop in Ethiopia (since 1953). Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony is one of the most iconic and cherished cultural rituals in Ethiopia.

I arrived with very little prior knowledge, and through this experience I truly learned about the culture, society, and history of Ethiopia in a deep and meaningful way. My guide was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and a fantastic host. He explained complex historical and social contexts clearly and engagingly, and made the entire day both informative and enjoyable. His insight and passion for the city really stood out. What made this tour so special was how authentic it felt. It wasn’t just about sightseeing – it was about experiencing daily life, understanding the people, and seeing Addis Ababa through local eyes. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for both the city and the country as a whole. If I were to do this again, I would absolutely recommend booking this tour as early as possible in your trip. It provides an excellent foundation and context, making it much easier (and far more meaningful) to explore the city on your own afterward. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Five stars – an experience I will cherish forever.

5.00Great experience! Mulu is very nice and accommodating. He took me and my friends around Addis, doing several pick ups and drop offs around the city, showed us the Merkato, explaining everything and keeping us on the right track. Very recomendable!

5.00I had an incredible experience with Addis Authentic Tours. We explored Mercato market, Entoto National Park, the Addis Ababa University Museum, the National Museum, and visited several beautiful churches. Every stop felt well thought out and meaningful. My guide Desale was outstanding. He recommended amazing local food, helped with translation, and made everything feel easy and stress free. The vibes were great throughout, and I always felt safe and well taken care of, from leaving my hotel to returning without any issues. And oh, he also takes nice pictures. This tour gave me a real feel of Addis beyond the usual tourist spots. Truly authentic, professional, and memorable. A solid 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
