The Kayak Tour explores the Dolphin Sanctuary and Ships Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail, just 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. Here you find one of Adelaide's "secret spots", it is an area of surprising beauty. The sheltered mangrove lined creeks are home to a fascinating array of marine life, birds and the Port River Dolphins. The Ship's Graveyard is a unique feature of the area with over 20 "wrecks" to view. All this makes for a sensational adventure and kayaking is the most environmentally sensitive way to explore and interact with the dolphins. Small-groups of no more than 8 people make this a personal experience. Perfect for the whole family, enjoy an up close look at the native wildlife and wrecked ships as your guide tells you tales of this mysterious area.

As we use sit-in kayaks, we find that people 140kgs+ can have trouble fitting in the kayaks. Please call us with any concerns

5.00We were very lucky with such beautiful weather this morning., which enhanced the experience itself which was fantastic. Very relaxed, 2 great guides, visiting a couple of old ships then through the mangroves. Then spotted some dolphins so just floated along watching them and the pelicans. Beautiful spit at Garden Island that I didn’t know existed. Doing a tour in your own back yard was so much fun.

5.00Fantastic 3 hours kayaking around old shipwreck and mangroves and enjoyed a great show from the resident dolphins. Guides where excellent and well informed. Would highly recommend to anyone.

5.00Luke was an absolute rockstar for this tour. He was very informative and personable. We were able to see a large dolphin pod and learned some history about the shipwrecks in the area. 10/10 would recommend!

5.00We had a fantastic tour today. Despite it being a little warm, it was cool on the water. The mangroves were beautiful and peaceful and relatively easy for two novice kayakers to navigate. The shops graveyard was pretty. Highly recommend. Amazing tour, right in Adelaide backyard.

4.00We came along with family and booked two double kayaks. After a briefing about the paddling and the map we got into our kayaks and off we went. As a novice it was relatively easy to propel the kayak forwards and backwards, although somewhat slowly at times. We happily managed to paddle our way to the creeks that we had been told about and navigated up them and in between the mangroves which wasn’t always easy. We kept an eye out for dolphins and our family members managed to get a great video of a dolphin after it passed under their boat. We weren’t quite so lucky but we saw the same dolphin from a short distance. Other then seeing one from the shore when we first arrived we saw no more. Paddling was relatively easy as we were on the non guided tour and could go completely at our own pace and we didn’t bother to go down and see the two bigger shipwrecks. The only downside was that two of us found the boats uncomfortable as our life jackets rode up at the rear meaning that our backs rubbed on the rear of the seat area. Maybe wearing a bit of padding yourself and gloves to protect your hands from rubbing would be a good idea. Anyhow, it was a mostly enjoyable morning which was all completed before the sun got too hot.
Do yourself a favour and go kayaking with this company. It was great value for money.

5.00This was a fabulous experience. To a guide was Kat she was outstanding in terms of explaining things that we were seeing like the dolphins, the mangroves and the ships. She was also fabulous in explaining how to use a kayak. The day we went we saw lots of dolphins very close and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend people to do it.
