After learning how to take care of yourself in the open water course, you will be more focused on other tasks like navigation, better buoyancy control, etc. And you will learn how to dive safely to a maximum depth of 30 mtrs. /100feets

There are 2 dives mandatories, deep dive and navigation dive, you can choose the 3 other dives depending of your convenience and the location, normally you will do Peak performance buoyancy, Wreck dive and Fish identification.

When we went to the Bahia Principe, my ambition was to complete my Open Water diving qualification. On Day 1 I completed this and over the next 3 days I completed my Advanced Open Water and then I did a Speciality in Perfect Buoyancy. I am a nervous diver and I get sea sick, so not a great combination so no way was I expecting to do 9 dives and 3 qualifications and have the time of my life! It is all thanks to the wonderful Pedro Marin. He is the most caring, patient and knowledgeable scuba instructor I have met. He made me feel at ease, reassured and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable but while still encouraging and motivating me which gave me the confidence to go further and become better. He knew exactly when and how to question me that made me want to do more. Even though I was very sea sick twice, I still did my dives – from a Cat and a small boat in Bavaro to the beautiful island of Catalina where we went on a day trip and to the incredible ship wrecks in Bayahibe. I never imagined I would dive to 30metres round a ship wreck but it will always be one of the best memories of my life! I kept telling Pedro I love him and it’s true! My boyfriend loves him too Lol! We are planning another trip to the Dominican Republic just because of Pedro. I hope he reads this and knows that he has my biggest thanks and I cannot appreciate him more for everything he did. I had an incredible and fun time. You have given me life long memories and a lot of excitement, adventure and laughter. I cannot wait to see you again! If you go to DR, dive with Scuba Quatic. Ask for Pedro Marin. All the staff are great and the diving and excursions are all reasonably priced in line with Padi and SSI standards. Martin was fab with booking everything in for us with a smile and Gabriel came with us one day to take some amazing photos and a video. Some I have shared. You can also get some amazing day trips and other adventure activities like banana boating and snorkelling. Superb facility with strict covid measures. I felt safe, comfortable and I cannot say enough positive things. Thank you Pedro!

Very good Diving especially in Batato and Deep Blue at the tip. I wouldn't recommend Is. CATALINA for those who have experience in large coral reefs. Thank you Pedro Marin, my advanced instructor, excellent guide and knowledgeable about the place!

We had a great adventure to remember with Pedro and Lola. Such a generous and kind team and staff. We took a 2 day trip and ended up doing 6 dives ! Princess Atlantic wreck and the Aquarium were dives that I will not forget! The team was following all the covid rules properly while disinfecting the equipment many times and wearing masks etc. Pedro and Lola made us very comfortable, they took their time to answer our questions and explain everything with great detail making sure that we are safe all the time. They even took lots of nice pictures of us. We enjoyed their company a lot and while diving they made sure we see big hidden fish. Was awesome! I would definitely come back to dive with this team !

I had a blast with Pedro and Italo. Both were fantastic instructors. I did the Advance Open water course with a deep dive, a shipwreck, and a cavern dive all amazing spots. We saw many different species of fish including Eagle Rays, Nurse Sharks, and Sea Turtles. I had a blast learning new techniques and definitely gained some more knowledge about safety and dives. I highly recommend this scuba shop for all beginners and advance. Everyone at the shop made you feel welcome.
