Staying at Caiman lodge was truly magical! I give the environment, staff and facilities my highest recommendation. Amazing Guide Francisco Klever led us on nature walks and boat rides in the morning, afternoon and night. Under his expert guidance, we saw an incredible diversity of flora and fauna. We got to touch a boa constrictor and to look into the eyes of the caiman. We saw creatures I never heard of before like the madreluna bird who camouflages so well into a tree that you can barely see it, but it has big eyes and a stunning, ancient presence. We saw an anaconda, several storks, parakeets, toucans, other birds and three species of monkeys. We saw river dolphins, river otters, bats and tarantulas. We went swimming in the Laguna grande daily. The Laguna is very special and is filled with nutrients and minerals. When I swam in it, I always emerged energized and deeply nourished. We saw a two toed sloth and three toed sloth, stinky turkey, which is a prehistoric bird with unique adaptations, wolf spiders, Morpho butterflies, curare, quinine trees and Barbarra tree, which is the origin of the first anesthetic. We went on a night walk in the jungle and saw tarantulas, rats, bats, frogs, lizards, moths, spiders, beetles, caterpillars and dragonflies. We went to the indigenous village and we met a shaman, learned about indigenous medicine, harvested yucca and learned how to make yucca bread, and saw a capybara who the shaman had raised since she was a baby. The food was gourmet quality. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. I encourage you to give yourself the gift of this incredible experience and lifelong beautiful memories.

Michelle and Paul organised and orchestrated a “turn key” 14 day, Amazon/Galapagos, vacation for myself and my three boys during December 2023. Transportation, flights, guided tours, hotels, were scheduled and changed according to our needs. Paul followed up Daily to make sure we’re ok. Michelle was available from early morning to late at night to meet our need. The cost was more than worth it. It was never about money for them, our great experience always came first. Every single person they hired to guide us of the same feather. Big smile and eager to make our vacation, a great one. I would gladly trust him to plan our next trip! Hope I didn’t forget anything, but if I have, it will be a good surprise to you😊

Dorian at CarpeDM arranged an amazing Amazon trip for me, at the incredible Sani Lodge off the Napo River, and helped in myriad other ways to make my trip to Ecuador such as success. I cannot say enough how knowledgable the staff is, and how helpful and accommodating they were in answering my many questions even when it didn't result in booking additional tours with the. They are the real deal, and I strongly encourage anybody looking to book adventure tours/experience in Ecuador to contact them.

This tour was so incredibly amazing! From start to finish CarpeDM was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. We coordinated everything via Email and the day before the tour we went to the office to pay, everyone was so nice and welcoming. The amazon rainforest is just breathtakingly beautiful and every day was another adventure. I definitely recommend doing this to everyone visiting Ecuador. One word of advice though: try not to take the night but from Quito to Largo Agrio. It was so tiring and incredibly annoying. I recommend taking a local bus to Largo Agrio a day early and staying at a hostel there - they will pick you up from your location!
